will be three seatings: 10:30 am, 1:30 pm

First Sunday of Advent
Evening Prayer, Rosary and
Benediction
November 27, 2010 at 5:30 pm
Pope Benedict XVI will celebrate a Vigil
for all Nascent (Unborn) Human Life No-vember 27 to coincide with first vespers of
the First Sunday of Advent. The Holy Fa-
ther requests that this vigil be observed in all dioceses and par-
ishes. We will join the Holy Father in prayer that evening at
5:30 pm in the church with Evening Prayer, the Rosary and
Benediction. All are invited and encouraged to attend.

DIOCESAN ADVENT SERIES
The Diocese of Alexandria will offer a
Catholic Classics Advent Series in each
deanery. Each deanerys series will be
held once a week and cover a different
faith topic.
The series in the Central Deanery will
be at 5:30 pm at St. Joseph Catholic Center in Al-exandria on Tuesdays, November 30, and Decem-
ber 7, 14, and 21. The series will be presented by Fa-
ther Luke Melcher.
LONGEST MARRIED COUPLE PROJECT
Worldwide Marriage Encounter is spon-
soring a Longest Married Couple Pro-
ject for all married couples in the U.S.
Winners will receive special gifts on
Feb. 14, 2011, presented in person by the U.S. Ecclesi-
astical Team for WWME. Individual state winners will

Red River Chorale will present a Christ-
mas concert entitled Christmas Through
the Ages on Tuesday, December 14 at
7:30 pm at St. Francis Xavier Cathe-
dral. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5

ST. RITA CHRISTMAS TOUR OF HOMES
St. Rita Church will host a tour of homes
Sunday, December 19 from 1:00 to
5:00 pm. Four homes may be visited in
any order, with the Rectory being the final
destination, where there will be refresh-
ments and entertainment. Tickets are
$20 for adults and $10 for children and
can be purchased after November 29 at the Parish Of-
fice or at any of the homes on the day of the tour. Call
