I would also like to thank the Archdiocese of San Francisco for their faith in my ability to lead the school as Interim Principal. I would like to take this opportunity to reintroduce myself to the community: I am the eldest of six and have ve younger brothers. I've lived in many places, but have spent the majority of my life in San Francisco. Most of my family still lives in the area. I received my BA from St. Mary's College of California. A little over seven years ago, Sr. Shirley hired me as a long-term substitute teacher in second grade. I had just completed the teaching credential program. At the end of that school year, I was hired as the fourth grade teacher. In 2013, I earned my MA from St. Mary’s. In 2018, I was promoted to Vice Principal. I have absolutely loved teaching at our school and am very excited for this new chapter in my professional career. St. John’s mission is to foster academic excellence along with Catholic values for the families it serves. I look forward to furthering the mission of our school and supporting our students on their unique journey to become well-rounded, intellectual, and ethical individuals. I thank you all for your support and continued partnership. Thank you to everyone that came to the book-signing fundraiser on Sunday. It was lovely to see the whole gym packed! This week is quite busy. Today is a 12:30pm dismissal. Ash Wednesday is on the 26th and we will be walking to 9am mass. The eighth grade will be going on their retreat this Thursday and Friday. Please continue to check SchoolSpeak for any updates. Have a great week! Go Eagles! Ms. Iwaszewicz
