Dear St. John School Community,

I would like to begin with a huge thank you to Sr. Shirley for her many years of service to ourSt. John School community; we are extremely grateful for her support and mentorship over herlong tenure and during this transitional time. I would also like to thank the Archdiocese of SanFrancisco for their faith in my ability to lead the school as Interim Principal.

I would like to take this opportunity to reintroduce myself to the community: I am the eldest ofsix and have �ve younger brothers. I've lived in many places, but have spent the majority of mylife in San Francisco. Most of my family still lives in the area. I received my BA from St. Mary'sCollege of California. A little over seven years ago, Sr. Shirley hired me as a long-termsubstitute teacher in second grade. I had just completed the teaching credential program. Atthe end of that school year, I was hired as the fourth grade teacher. In 2013, I earned my MAfrom St. Mary’s. In 2018, I was promoted to Vice Principal. I have absolutely loved teaching atour school and am very excited for this new chapter in my professional career. St. John’smission is to foster academic excellence along with Catholic values for the families it serves.I look forward to furthering the mission of our school and supporting our students on theirunique journey to become well-rounded, intellectual, and ethical individuals. I thank you all foryour support and continued partnership.

Thank you to everyone that came to the book-signing fundraiser on Sunday. It was lovely tosee the whole gym packed! This week is quite busy. Today is a 12:30pm dismissal. AshWednesday is on the 26th and we will be walking to 9am mass. The eighth grade will be goingon their retreat this Thursday and Friday. Please continue to check SchoolSpeak for anyupdates.
