continuous rod at

a rate of

The Weatherford MG unit is a

compact, continuous rod service

solution that features a

hydraulically operated

continuous rod injector and rod

guide. Engineered to work with a

service rig or flushby unit, the

MG unit performs all COROD®

continuous rod service work, as

well as pump changes, rod

fishing, tool deployment, plug

retrieval, and sliding-sleeve

shifting. The MG unit is also

equipped with a stiff boom

crane, reducing the need for

additional lifting equipment at the

wellsite. The unit can service

shallow- to high-depth oil, gas,

and coalbed methane (coalseam

gas) wells in vertical, directional,

and slant well configurations.

Specifically designed for rapid

deployment and safe operation,

the MG unit has multiple

features that enable a safe rig-in

and rig-out in 30 minutes or less,

in typical operating conditions.

The rod guide has a quick-

connect design and guide-mouth

safety system that can be

assembled and disassem-bled in

as little as 5 minutes. The unit is

also equipped with a COROD

continuous rod injector capable

of that tripping rod at an efficient

rate of 100 ft./minute (30

m/minute)

The Weatherford MG unit is fully

equipped with an integral

hydraulic power source, several

types of blowout preventers, a

stiff boom picker, and an

advanced secondary wellhead-

rod safety clamp. In emergency

situations, the secondary

wellhead-rod safety clamp is

capable of applying up to 71,000

lb (32,200 kg) of hydraulic

clamping force.

The unit features an operator's

cab capable of housing two (2)

people. Mounted in the

operators cabin is the control

console. The control console

allows the operator to safely

control and monitor Continous

rod injector operation (via

intrinsically safe camera’s) from

a distance
