Badge Printing within Mobile Solutions
Mobile Solutions can be setup to preview and print personnel ID badges that were designed in
IDCentre Designer. This is done through mapping liked named fields from the Mobile Solutions™
database and filling that data directly onto the card preview. This allows for a single entry point of all
personnel data and one-click printing.
Designing a Project or Converting Existing Projects
Converting or building a Project in IDCentre to be compatible with Mobile Solutions™ will not affect its
current Database Connection or Database Field Mapping.
Mobile Solutions™ uses the Card Field Name to determine where to populate the data.
To make the Card Compatible with the Mobile Solutions™, In IDCentre Designer:
Use the database map (Figures 7 thru 22) and select the Field you wish to display on the Card.
Use the selected Database Field Name as the Card Field Name in the Card Field Properties as shown below (Figure 1).
The dynamic field on the IDCentre card must have a length of equal or greater than the length of the desired field in the Mobile Solutions™ Database.
If converting a Pre-existing project, you will need to rename and remap every field on the card that is to be populated from Mobile Solutions™ as described here in Step 1.
Example: In IDCentre Designer Card View, we are viewing properties for the Issued Date field on the
card. Then name the field the same as the Database Field Name “BadgeDate”. This way, Mobile
Solutions™ will know to fill that field with the correct data.
