Paris, 29 April 2010 Freebox TV: A package of 20 channels available on iPhone, iPod touch and iPad Mobile terminals set to turn into Freebox HD remote controls 20 Freebox TV channels are now available to Free users equipped with an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad, from the web navigator of these terminals, on http://tv.freebox.fr . Free users can pause the current broadcast of one of these channels at any time and resume watching later where they stopped, due to the Timeshifting function (live broadcast control). These channels are available from subscribers’ Free wifi connection and from the FreeWiFi community network. In addition, Free has opened up the APIs to allow the development of applications that turn iPhone, Android and other type mobile terminals into Freebox HD remote controls. These applications provide access to the functions of the Freebox HD remote control: navigation throughout the package, live broadcast control, access to the digital video recorder, etc. The first applications will be available in the next few days from App Store. - “http://tv.freebox.fr” service available subject to owning an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad terminal and having subscribed to a Free wifi internet connection of sufficient speed. - Channels available on http://tv.freebox.fr: France 2, France 3, France 4, France 5, France O, NT1, Direct 8, NRJ Paris, NRJ 12, NRJ Hits, TV5, Al Jazeera, LCP, BFM TV, Guysen TV, KTO, Demain TV, Liberty TV, Fashion TV and Luxe TV. - iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and App Store are registered trademarks of Apple.
