Project Highlights We believe that the world needs new solutions for transportation and mobility. Our

goal is to accelerate the adoption of new solutions and foster a global collaboration in this exciting industry. We will achieve our goal by creating a new ecosystem based on principles of the sharing economy, decentralised technologies and connected vehicles.

Our ecosystem needs to be profitable to achieve long term sustainability. It will consist of five components: 1. Community This revolution needs a change in social behaviours, perceptions and a lot of education. We are building a diverse and active global community of transportation innovators and enthusiasts. Our community will help to reduce the fragmentation in this industry and bring people together to increase acceptance and adoption of new mobility solutions. 2. Sharing solutions Private vehicles are estimated to go unused for 95% of their 1

lifetime, we believe that we need less cars and take advantage of the sharing economy to create new solutions and help the environment. We will foster and provide support to develop sharing programs and new decentralised business models. 3. Vehicles and infrastructure New solutions will need new infrastructures, vehicles and devices. We’ll promote innovative companies by providing test customers, data to help bring build the infrastructure and bring innovative products to the market. 4. Data exchange Blockchain based data exchange exists to provide access to data, anything from test vehicles, sharing programs and specific research. Our active community, test drivers, customers will have the freedom to make their information available for further research, which is essential to further develop new solutions. 5. Regulation Changes in regulation will be crucial to the development of new business models, infrastructure and adoption of autonomous vehicles (AVs). We’ll be open to help and share information to remove any regulatory roadblocks and accelerate the development of new solutions.

The Mobility Token (MOB) price will be based on the long term value of the ecosystem. It will be a primary currency for all operations performed on the data exchange and all transactions within our products. MOB will be used to reward active members of our community and build bridges with other mobility programs.

The first step has already been made. We have created whatauto.expert, which is a website that rewards electric car drivers to provide feedback and arrange test drives of new cars. The aim of the website is to grow awareness of the new products. We started an open bounty program to gather reviews.

The size of our reward program (i.e. bounty program) is unprecedented: 40,000,000 MOB tokens will be given to contributors, at the token sale value of $10,000,000. The bounty program is planned for a period of two years, with quarterly batches.

50’000’000 MOB tokens will be sold, aiming to raise up to $10’000’000 to finance the further development of the ecosystem.

Mobility Token Whitepaper 5

Overview Mobility and transport are changing and we believe that more needs to be done to accelerate the development of new solutions. Our mission is to create a fast lane towards the sustainable mobility. We recognise the challenges ahead and we have created an open ecosystem to design the new reality.

It’s all change in the car industry! A revolution is taking place in the auto industry. Faced with the reality of selfdriving and electric vehicles, everything we once thought we knew about cars, transport and mobility is changing. Attitudes are hardening against petrol and diesel engines as exciting electric vehicles capture the public imagination and demand for clean transport grows.

Cars were once the ultimate symbol of autonomous freedom. Once inside, you were in a world of your own, in today's era of connectivity and automation this is rapidly changing. Drivers are beginning to see the benefits of being connected better and automatic route selection, wear and tear monitoring, traffic jam avoidance these are all the rewards of letting vehicles talk with each other but they come with strong caveats, that privacy and security must be of the highest quality in order to protect our individual rights.

The rise of the sharing economy A report from the Brookings Institution projects the sharing economy to grow from US$14 2

billion in 2014 to US$335 billion by 2025. We believe the new economy combined with new technology will forever change the way we transport people and things.

The rise and widespread adoption of autonomous driving technology will create a new global Passenger Economy estimated to be worth US$7 trillion annually by the year 2050. The consumerdriven piece of the Passenger Economy in 2050 will account for nearly 55 percent of these revenues. The convenience and economical costs of mobilityasa service will displace individual vehicle ownership. The ongoing trend to urbanization, with more and more people moving to cities, will accelerate this trend. It will no longer be necessary or potentially even possible, to own a vehicle to go wherever you want, whenever you want. 3

The five forces behind the auto revolution We see five primary forces that must be managed as we progress toward an electric, selfdriving, and connected world of transportation. Three of these are positive and should be encouraged. Two of these need to be resolved for a wholly positive outcome.

1 - The phasing out of fossil fuels As awareness of the effects of climate change grows, people are coming to resent the carbon and sulphur emissions created by their vehicles. This change of mindset with regards to petrol and diesel cars is most clearly reflected in the fact that governments have started phasing out fossil fuelpowered vehicles.

UK will ban sales of new gasoline and diesel cars starting in 2040.

France wants to end sales of gas and diesel vehicles by 2040.

India every vehicle sold in the country should be powered by electricity by 2030.

Norway all new passenger cars and vans sold in 2025 should be zeroemission vehicles. 4

Germany will allow towns and cities to ban dieselpowered vehicles within their borders.

This change will have an enormous effect on the oil industry, with global demand predicted to peak by 2030, then steadily decline. Interestingly, Bank of America Merrill Lynch has predicted that 40 percent of all vehicle sales will be electrically powered by 2030. This can not be a coincidence!

2 - The rise of autonomous vehicles Selfdriving cars are no longer a technology of the future. The technology and policy landscapes are evolving fast, as is consumer sentiment.

Mobility Token Whitepaper 7

McKinsey describes the likelihood of cars taking full control from drivers as a “mediumterm reality”. In the meantime, we have already seen the beginning of the journey to full 5

autonomy with the advent of advanced driverassistance systems (ADAS), that will play a key role in preparing the cultural, technological and regulatory environments for fully autonomous vehicles.

“Once technological and regulatory issues have been resolved, up to 15 percent of new cars sold in 2030 could be fully autonomous.” 6

The reality is that many of the world’s leading car manufacturers have already started down the road to putting fully autonomous selfdriving vehicles on the market by 2020. 7

Importantly, the balance isn’t just on the supply side. In 2016, the Consumer Technology Association found that twothirds of drivers wanted to replace their cars with completely selfdriving vehicles . This opinion has given the manufacturers confidence that they are 8

on the right path.

3 - The growth of Mobility as a Service

Creating a new passenger economy The economic and social effects of autonomous driving technology will be farreaching, changing how we live, work and the way societies are organised. These excerpts from a study by Strategy Analytics on the likely economic effects of selfdriving vehicles, give an 9

idea of the scale of the transformation.

Valuing the passenger economy Autonomous driving (AD) technology will enable a new global Passenger Economy worth US$7 trillion annually in 2050.

Mobility Token Whitepaper 8

Consumer use of MobilityasaService offerings will account for nearly 55 percent of these revenues, or US$3.7 trillion.

Business use of MobilityasaService will generate US$3 trillion in revenues in industries like transportation and freight delivery, sales and service fleets, and a range of medium and heavyduty applications in industrial, mining and agriculture, and other productioncentric and consumer goods industries.

US$200 billion in revenues will be generated from rising consumer use of new, innovative applications and services that will emerge as pilotless vehicle services expand and evolve.

The evolution and mass adoption of MobilityasaService by consumers is central to the emergence of the Passenger Economy. This is the disruption of the onetoone coupling of car ownership and personal mobility. Consumers will continue to forgo ownership as they seek out economical, selfdirected personal mobility. The range of MobilityasaService offerings will explode as autonomously operated vehicles become ubiquitous and instantaneously personalized services emerge.

Urbanization By 2050, nearly twothirds of the global population will live in urban environments. As population density rise in cities, the cost of parking and cost of living will rise. People will move to suburbs further from the city center to compensate, driving commute times higher and outstripping the ability of public transport infrastructure to fully meet consumer mobility needs. This will drive an increase in the need for mobilityasaservice systems, such as Uber and Lyft and car sharing platforms such as BlaBlaCar. These information platforms will transition to autonomous, pilotless vehicles that can operate continuously, improving customer experience whilst simultaneously reducing congestion further still.

Time Surplus – Driver Freedom Whether commuting to work or traveling for other reasons, consumers in large metropolitan cities typically spend as much as an hour per day driving a vehicle. In the new Passenger Economy former drivers now passengers will find themselves with significant amounts of freed time as a result of no longer needing to drive. Whether commuting to work or traveling for other reasons, consumers will embrace their favorite online and connected activities, e.g.,social networking, checking email and video streaming. 5G connectivity will offer new connected service models as internet usage time invehicles becomes significant relative to inhome use.

Page 10: Mobility Token Whitepaper - whatauto.expert · Obstacles To Adoption Of Electric Vehicles 10 Obstacles To Adoption Of Autonomous Vehicles (AVs) 10 Starting Point 11 Too Many Petrol

Mobility Token Whitepaper 9

Time Surplus – Increased Productivity For businesses in the transportation and delivery industry, pilotless vehicles will offer an opportunity to redefine the role of the driver. In local and lessthantruckload delivery networks, this freed time will allow drivers to take on new roles in a number of potential areas, including inventory and supply chain management and customer service.

Transportation companies will also see improved productivity on their routes and overall revenue per load. Autonomous trucks will be able to deliver freight 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Reducing Congestion & Fatalities Another great promise of pilotless vehicles resides in their potential to reduce traffic fatalities, accidents, and congestion.

Approximately 1.3 million people die in car accidents per year around the world… Ninetyfour percent of all accidents are due to human error. Approximately US$2.3 trillion will be spent in 2018 year globally to deal with traffic accidents.

Pilotless vehicles’ ability to access current traffic data and change the route of the vehicle to avoid heavy traffic, congestion and be utilised during anti social hours will clearly reduce congestion.

4 The threat of information overload Deluged by information about the complexity of offers, regulatory inconsistencies , differing technological achievements and incompatible hardware and software standards, today’s drivers are struggling to make the right choices about electric and selfdriving cars.

Ironically, this torrent of uncurated information produces less awareness, not more. The average person knows just enough to fear these technologies, but not nearly enough to understand them. This high level of consumer confusion, skepticism, and ignorance deters investment, and slows innovation as well as acceptance.

In the words of Professor Jeffrey Miller, who teaches engineering practice at the University of Southern California, “It’s not the technology. It’s user acceptance that’s holding us up right now.” 10

5 - The obstacles to be overcome Obstacles To Adoption Of Electric Vehicles 11

There are many issues that need to be resolved to enable the widespread adoption of electric vehicles, including:

The need for electric vehicles to be priced competitively against combustionengine vehicles (this is expected by 2025).

The need for an enormous increase in electric vehicle charging facilities, which must become as common as gas stations.

The length of time it takes to charge electric vehicles. Innovation must bring charging time down to minutes rather than hours for a full charge.

Batteries need to be developed that have a much greater range than is currently possible. Ultimately, the range of electric vehicles on a full charge needs to be comparable to that of a combustionengined vehicle with a full tank of fuel (only Tesla and Chevrolet Bolt currently exceed 200 miles).

The electricity grid and surrounding infrastructure need to be greatly expanded to handle the increase in load that will occur when large quantities of electric vehicles are being charged on a regular basis.

Consider adding something about the regulator favouring sustainable vehicles

Obstacles To Adoption Of Autonomous Vehicles (AVs)

There are also many difficulties that need to be overcome before we the widespread adoption of fully autonomous selfdriving vehicles can be achieved:

Overcoming consumers’ lack of confidence in the technology.

The creation and constant updating of detailed mapping systems for AVs.

The need for AVs to master complex social interactions with human road users.

The ability of AVs to handle bad weather situations that can obscure vehicle sensors and road markings.

Regulations to deal with safety, legal liability and other factors surrounding AVs.

Strengthened cybersecurity to prevent the hacking of AVs.

Starting Point

Too Many Petrol- And Diesel-Powered Cars In The World The Earth has an internal combustion engine problem. There is a total worldwide vehicle fleet of over 1.3 billion motor vehicles, of which more than one billion are lightduty passenger vehicles. Even with advanced pollution controls, many areas around the 12

globe continue to suffer from the toxic effects of vehicle emissions.

Progress Is Being Made, But Not Quickly Enough A notable milestone was reached in December of 2017, when annual global sales of lightduty electrified vehicles (both battery electrics and plugin hybrids) passed the onemillion unit mark, and also exceeded one percent market share for the first time. 1314

This is an admirable achievement, but must be put into a realistic perspective. Nearly 99% of all passenger vehicles sold in 2017 were powered by a conventional combustion engine. A few million electrified vehicles in a billionvehicle fleet is a very small drop in a very large bucket. We are a long way from turning the tide, but we must get started on increasing the rate of conversion to electrified vehicles.

There Are Places That Are Friendly To Electrified Vehicles Many strongholds of electrified vehicle support are scattered around the world, and we can look to them, and the incentives they provide for the adoption of electrified vehicles. These entities reached admirable levels of electrified vehicle market share in 2017: 15
