now. An old house in the perfect neighborhood, the smell

of babies, or my favorite lemon meringue pie. Im also

crushing on our new fabric collection. Even though it is a

Valentine line, we think it goes with everything. The red,

black and gray coordinates with the colors from our

previous collections, and the line includes great low

volume prints, perfect for backgrounds.

Our favorite print? The dotted circle called Circle of

Love. Its offi cial- we will be using that on everything!

Our fabric line, Hyde Park, is named for a historic neighborhood in the Kansas City area. Weary travelers on

the Santa Fe Trail welcomed the sight of the natural springs that meandered from rocky outcroppings to various

creeks in the area. Today old homes have been restored to their former glory and neighbors once again sit on

the front porch while they enjoy the sense of timelessness in the shade of old sycamore trees. Youll be able to

Old Cambridge Pike celebrates prints and passions of

19th-century New England. From Concord to Cambridge

and Boston, the generation who called themselves Young

America cultivated a new sense of place in arts and

literature while nearby textile mills defi ned an American

print style. The collection focuses on calicoes, neat stripes

and fl orals, the everyday cottons one might have found in

the sewing baskets at the Alcotts, the Hawthornes and the

Peabody sisters who lived along the Old Cambridge Pike.

The prints date to the 1840-1890 era in a warm range

of reds and browns with companions of blues and greens.

Each print and color name recalls an important image in

Young America, honoring the circle of friends, the places

they lived and their ideas.

My Sundance Trail fabric line was inspired by the American cowboys and cowgirls who ride the

range herding the cattle. My favorite coordinate is the horseshoe print that came about when I

was drawing the horseshoes and noticed as I placed them down that it made a star shape in the

middle. I hope you enjoy this rustic and nostalgic tribute to our homeland.

Fields of Bluebonnets and Indian Paintbrush blowing in the breeze, an old weathered wooden fl ag on a

fence and Longhorn cattle being herded to a new pasture were the inspirations for the Texas Proud fabric

line. Drive through any city or countryside in Texas and you will see how proud Texans are of displaying

the state fl ag. The Longhorn featured on the bold Texas Proud state print belongs to my sister, Connie

and her husband, Robert Conner. I am pleased they let me use their Longhorns in my art.
