POSITION: Instrument and Control Section Maintenance Manager

Short Brief of Experience In this position, I was responsible for all the Instruments Construction and maintenance activities and care-taking of the instrumentation of this 100,000 bbl./day refinery including Field Instruments, DCS, PLC’s, Vibration, Fire Alarm System and analyzing equipment. Troubleshooting, Modification and fault analysis for all Instrument troubles. Analysis for the Chronic Problems & find the suitable solutions for it. Coaching and guiding 50 Technicians and their Supervisors including Night shift Personal.

This refinery is comprised of: Crude and Vacuum unit, Hydro-Cracker, Delayed Coker, Cock handling, & Port-and the necessary side stream units such as CCR ,PEMAX, Sulfur, Waste Water Treatment, Flare Area and all of the supporting Refinery Utility units.

Involved in the setting up of the Refinery’s Computerized Maintenance Management Control system including the Spare Parts, and Interchangeable Parts Requirements.

Training Course for Engineers and Technicians. Theory, Practical and OJT. Assist O&M from technical side to solve the process problems.

Port Cock handling, Port facility for Petroleum products, West & East Arm loading (6) and their utility.

Authorized from ROBERTS & SCHAEFER Company to complete and received the Certificate of Acceptance of the Truck Wash Effluent Filtration System in the Petroleum Cock Handling System.

Rehabilitate the Heater ( 2 Cell ) Coker unit ,remove and test all Instruments on heater (Transmitters ,Control valves, Skin Temperature Analyzers ,Flame Scanners, Draft measuring system laying all instrument cables and Install all Instruments then Assist operation in startup unit.

Turnaround Plant Shutdown prepares all items plant shutdown and prepares Instrument and Control planning schedule

Responsibility:1. Instrument Maintenance:-

I. Follow up Instrument Maintenance Program corrective & defective for Global Maintenance Program and Turnaround Refinery Shutdown.

II. Provide all Maintenance (CM,PM,SM) This maintenance covers all field Instruments for measuring parameters(Level, Flow, Temperature, Pressure Transmitters & Indicators , Control Valves Fisher ,Masolinan, Motorized Control Valves(MOV) & all attachment equipment , Safety Valves , All Switches , Multiplexers.

III. Maintenance in the following Production units including loop check, Instrument calibration & Troubleshooting according to manufacturer regulations and staff experience in the following units:

a. Atmospheric & Vacuum Distillation units.


b. Hydrocracker Unit.c. Hydrogen Product Plantd. Delayed Cocker Unit.e. Cock Handling Unit. f. Refinery Utility (Boiler Steam Generation, Nitrogen Plant, Power Generation and

Water Treatment).g. Port Handling Unit.

IV. Follow up Maintenance procedures according to CMMS programs & Instrument Staff.
