The Energy Efficiency workshop held for residents of Wright and Coombs on Wednesday 10 September was a great success. The workshop was facilitated by Nicholas Mayo, an experienced teacher, facilitator and sustainable home builder. Eight residents participated in this workshop which was a smaller number than anticipated but allowed for greater interactions between participants and the facilitator.

The workshop focused on behaviour in the home, how to read electricity and gas bills, time of use rates and energy efficient appliances. Those that attended were provided a FREE electricity monitor for their home. The monitors do require a qualified electrician to install but once installed will enable residents to monitor their electricity use. In turn this will assist in reducing their energy consumption and costs. Residents who participated in the workshop were also keen to come together again to continue their learning journey and to connect with their community.
