He is the founder of the Association of Vegetarian Dietitians and Nutrition Educators, and co-founder and first Chairman-Elect of the Vegetar- ian Nutrition Practice Group of the American Dietetic Association. He has worked as a dietitian at Miami Children’s Hospital and Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, and at Wesley Woods Nursing Home in Atlanta, before serving as a Public Health Nutri- tionist for the State Health Departments of Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina.
