And the winner is. . . Chad Cupp, Plant Engineering managerChad demonstrates the mission of FMC and is well deserving of this honor!

When we think of an employee who embodies the values of FMC, we immediately think of Adam McGonigle, Lab supervisor. From staying late to help out with a chaotic day to answering the phone in the evening when we don’t have enough staff, we know Adam is dependable and always available when we need him. This person’s consistently calm demeanour in the most stressful situations is contagious to all of those who work with him. Dr. Scoggin Named Gordon B. Snider Teammate of the Year

Our 2014 Legendary Employee Philanthropist is Ron Adams. Ron is the Controller and works for the FMC Accounting Department.

When asked why he supports the FMC Foundation, he teases that he would like to see an ice cream machine in the cafeteria, but then he grows serious and talks about helping those less fortunate than himself. We are grateful for his investment in the future of Fairfield Medical Center through the Foundation.

Foundation Legendary Employee Philanthropist Award

Shawn Stump – Supervisor in HousekeepingShawn lives the organizational values every day. He consistently puts the needs of others before his own. He is extremely hard working and exemplifies agility and teamwork. Shawn never says “no.” When asked to take on a project, he will figure out somehow, someway to get it done. He consistently makes himself available to assist any cause that is for the betterment of patient care or the sustainability of our organization. Shawn also accepts full accountability for every project and every decision, every time. He is 200 percent vested in FMC. No matter the time of day or day of the week, he is there to roll up his sleeves and dig in, never expecting anything in return. He is that quiet, behind the scenes individual who makes a contribution to this organization that is without measure.

Do Your Part!Do you LOVE fresh produce, but don’t have time for a garden? A Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program may be the answer you are looking for. A CSA program is a partnership between the farmer and the community. This is a great way to bring a variety of fresh, high-quality produce into your home all summer long! Families and individuals who join a CSA will receive “shares” of produce each week during the growing season. Typically running mid-May to early October, CSA members can experience 75-100 types of greens, vegetables, melons, squash and herbs. Shares can be purchased in various sizes depending on your needs. FMC is excited to partner with two Fairfield County CSA programs. Schultz Valley Farms and Paige’s Produce will be offering a weekly drop-off at FMC and payroll deduct is available. For more information about our local CSA programs, contact Health and Wellness at ext. 6831.
