A budget is a fi nancial plan you design to manage the amount of money you spend. You will learn more about what a budget is and what exactly goes into one. You will be given a guide to build your own budget, which will be accompanied by information and tips to stick to a budget.
03SPENDING WISELY
Many people spend lost of their time and energy on earning more money, but don’t realise that they should learn how to spend their money wisely. You will learn about needs and luxuries, and the possible ways you can cut down on your expenses.
04SAVING BASICS
If you don’t earn much money and you can barely pay your bills, the idea of saving money might seem a bit silly; when you only have R50 left at the end of the month, why even bother to try saving? - If you work on saving every month, your fi nancial situation is likely to get better.

05INVESTING BASICS
Many people’s mood drop when they hear “investment”; they think negatively about it, because they only think about how putting away money will infl uence their budget. These people are not looking at the bigger picture! You will thank yourself later if you start investing now.
06DEBT BASICS
Many times you can burden yourself with debt, when it is completely unnecessary. You should rather try to negotiate around your debt and make cutbacks on your expenses, instead of just using debt as an escape to cover all your costs. In this module, you will learn what debt is.
