Quick facts

• Application is tested with more than 16000 transactions (8.5 years of data) on a low end devices and performance is excellent.• Data file with 16000 transactions is just about 700KB in size, do not

hesitate to backup while on the go.• At the moment it is the best Windows Phone application for

budgeting and forecasting.

Add accountTo create a new account tap the Add button at the bottom of the screen as shown on the picture.

Please note Money Tracker Free is limited to 3 currencies while Money Tracker Pro has no such limits.

Add account (continued)When creating first account you need to add a currency and account group, when creating subsequent accounts you can just choose an existing currency and group.

1. Type in account name.

2. To add a currency tap the plus button in the currency box (details).

3. To add an account group tap the plus button in the group box (details).

Add account (continued)1. To add a currency select base currency

from the list (you can use search button to speed up the process). Once base currency is selected you can adjust its properties like symbol and symbol position, may be add some notes.

2. When finished press the Save button.

Please note: first added currency will become default one and will have an exchange rate 1.00.

You can always change the default currency from currencies screen.

Add account (continued)Each account belongs to a group, for example Personal for personal accounts or Business for business accounts. Each group should have a unique name.

1. Type in group name.

Add account(final)Now that account name is entered, you can specify:

1. Account type (optional)

2. Opening balance (optional)

3. Overdraft amount (optional)

4. Interest rate (optional)

When finished press the Save button.

Add transactionNow that first account is created you can add a first transaction.

Press Add transaction button at the bottom of the screen or tap on account to see its transactions, then press Add button to add a transaction into this account.

2. Enter transaction amount (amount is always positive, Pay means the amount will be deducted from the account balance, Deposit means the amount will be added to the account balance)

3. Now press Add button in the category box to create a category (details)

Transfer money between accountsTo transfer money from one account to another you need to create a corresponding transaction.

1. Tap Add transaction button to open transaction entry screen. Select source Account, enter amount and tap Category box.

2. From the opened popup screen swipe right to see list of available accounts as shown on the picture, choose the desired target account.

3. Change transaction date as desired and press Save to save the transaction.

Schedule reoccurring transactionWhen creating a normal transaction press more details and scroll down to Repeat section. Press Never to open scheduler window and choose desired schedule.

Please note: if you specify the repeat schedule when creating a normal transaction it will be created and scheduled.

When creating a scheduled transaction (from outlook screen or scheduled transactions screen) it will be scheduled but not entered.

Create split transactionsEach transaction can consist of multiple split transactions. For example, you buy groceries (main transaction) and want to separate some items like milk to build a more detailed report in the future and see how much you spent on milk.

When adding the main transaction just press Split button as shown on the picture and create multiple split transactions - each having separate amount, category, project and notes. When done press Back button to return to the main transaction.

In addition, split transactions can be transfers! For example you have a mortgage transaction that transfers some funds to the mortgage account (principal repayment) and pays another part as bank interest (ordinary expense category). As result you can track how much that bank makes on you and watch your debt balance reducing.

Reports and forecastingYou can clone existing reports, give them a name and customize, all information will be saved and available next time you run the application (even date range).

Please note – by default every report includes scheduled transactions, which is perfect for forecasting. Give it a try, look how much you plan to spend next year on those bills!

Tips and tricks• When scrolling down the transaction list, tap on the top of the screen to quickly scroll up to the first transaction.

• Tap Last backup message to go to backup screen.

• Tap on the chart legend to switch view mode: percentage or name.

• Tap on Current balance or Ending balance in accounts screen to see all transactions.

• If you have many categories, projects or payees try that handy search button to save time and quickly find the item you need in popup lists.

• Once you are confident with the application switch off hints to increase useful screen space (Settings -> Options).

• Report names are stored in the data file and may still be in English when you switch the language. No need to reset the data - just rename the reports manually to any language you prefer and sort them the way you like.

• If something went wrong and you want to roll back – try to restore from local backup first, it is created every time you leave the application.
