Montana-Dakota Utilities Co. has conservation rebates available to its Montana residential natural gas customers. Programmable Setback Thermostats RebateTier 1* Thermostat $ 15Tier 2** Thermostat $ 60* Tier 1 thermostat is defined as having at least 4 programmable periods/day and a separate program schedule for the work week vs. the weekend. To qualify, the tier 1 thermostat must be purchased and installed by a heating contractor with a new high efficiency furnace or boiler.** Tier 2 thermostat is defined as being a communicating Wi-Fi connected thermostat with customer access to set points and schedule from anywhere with a smart device. The tier 2 thermostat does not require contractor installation nor the purchase of a qualifying new high efficiency furnace or boiler.

Residential Energy AssessmentResidential natural gas customers are eligible to receive an energy assessment performed on their home for a cost of $50. Energy assessments are limited and granted in the order in which they are received.
