Report on 2010 Alumni
Report by: Office of Planning and Assessment Office of Institutional Research 12/14/2011
Report on 2010 Alumni
2 of 28
Where are your graduates? What are they doing now? Those questions and many more are asked on
most college and graduate school campuses by potential students, current students, parents, potential
donors, faculty, accrediting agencies, and more. The office of Alumni Relations at the Monterey
Institute of International Studies takes many measures to obtain this vital information via surveys,
individual contact with alumni and faculty, and internet searches. This report attempts to display the
data collected for the Class of 2010 in a usable manner. Data reported here reflect data from Banner in
June 2010, thus one year after May graduation. In some cases, we reference the one year out alumni
survey specifically and note the data as such.
This report is divided into three sections: Degrees and Certificates Awarded, Location of Alumni,
Employment of Alumni.

The following figures represent the number of alumni with known employment as of June 2011. Many
recent graduates are delayed in providing employment information as they relocate to other countries
for professional opportunities, return to their countries of citizenship, wait for employment visas or
security clearances for positions they have been offered. The number of alumni with known
employment changes constantly.

Alumni Survey Data
All graduates are invited to participate in a survey one year after graduation. The survey seeks
employment, location, and other information in order to help us better serve our alumni and current
