Navy Lt Jg Randal Barker Adams, 28, of Gaithersburg, Maryland. Adams died during the Battle of Roi-Namur. Gave his life on January 31, 1944.

Navy ENS William Joseph Allen, 21, of Silver Spring, Maryland. Gave his life on January 9, 1945.

Army Pfc Herbert Franklin Allnutt, 25, of Boyds, Maryland. Allnutt was killed in the line of duty from a non-battle related incident. He was assigned to the 208th Engineers. Gave his life February 1, 1944.

Army SSG William E. Altemus, 23, of Montgomery County, Maryland. Altemus was killed in action from wounds suffered during combat. He was assigned to the 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division. Gave his life on October 13, 1944.

Air Force Pvt Ramon C Altenreid, 23, of Silver Spring, Maryland. Altenreid was killed in the line of duty from a non-battle related incident. Gave his life on February 9, 1944.

Navy PM 2C Robert Everett Arnott, 21, of Silver Spring, Maryland. Arnott was killed in action during the attack on Pearl Harbor. His body was not recovered. He was stationed aboard the USS Pennsylvania BB-38. Arnott was declared missing in action. Gave his life on December 7, 1941.

Navy LT JG Harold Abner Axtell, Jr., of Takoma Park, Maryland. Axtell was killed when his ship was struck by a torpedo and sunk in the Atlantic Ocean during the war. His body was not recovered. He was Commander of the Armed Guard, S.S. East Indian. Gave his life on November 3, 1942.

Marine Corps Cpt Carl Olson Bachman, 27, of Chevy Chase, Maryland. Bachman was killed in action. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 28th Marines, 5th Marine Division. Gave his life on March 14, 1945.

Air Force Maj Andrew Aloysius Barna, 25, of Montgomery County, Maryland. Barna died from a non-combat related accident while in China. Gave his life on August 2, 1945.

Army Pvt James Marion “Bo” Baughman, 27, of Montgomery County, Maryland. Baughman was killed in action. Gave his life on June 19, 1944.

Army Lt Col Horace Lincoln Beall, Jr., 39, of Montgomery County, Maryland. Beall died from a non-battled related incident. He was assigned to 163rd Infantry. Gave his life on September 3, 1943.

Air Force Staff Sgt Jack P. Beasley, 24, of Montgomery County, Maryland. Beasley died of wounds. He was assigned to the 700th Bomber Squadron. Gave his life on March 7, 1944.

Army Capt Harrison B. Beavers, 48, of Montgomery County, Maryland. Beavers died from a non-battle related incident. He was assigned to infantry. Gave his life on September 6, 1944.

Army Staff Sgt Richard M. Bell of Montgomery County, Maryland. Bell was killed in action. He was assigned to the 115th Infantry, 29th Infantry Division. Gave his life on February 22, 1945.

Marine Corps Pfc Llewellyn L. Benjamin, Jr., 18, of Chevy Chase, Maryland. Benjamin was killed in action. Gave his life on September 27, 1944.

Air Force Staff Sgt Daniel C. Bereck, Jr. of Montgomery County, Maryland. Bereck was killed in action. He was declared missing in action. He was assigned to the 850th Bomber Squadron, 490th Bomber Group. Gave his life on April 9, 1945.

Air Force 2nd Lt Merrill Bernard, Jr., 25, of Montgomery County, Maryland.

Bernard died in the line of duty when his bomber crashed into the McCoy Mountains, nine miles west of Blythe, California. He was assigned to the 18th Bomber Squadron. Gave his life on October 15, 1943.

Army Sgt Claude A. Bodine of Montgomery County, Maryland. Bodine was killed in action. He was assigned to the 318th Infantry, 80th Infantry Division. Gave his life on April 10, 1945.

Navy Electricians Mate 2C Felix Ferdinando Guida, 26, of Silver Spring, Maryland. Declared missing in action when his ship, U.S.S. Dorado, was sunk by friendly fire around Cuba. Gave his life on October 12, 1943.

Navy Lt Arthur Leonard Gustafson, 28, of Takoma Park, Maryland. He was declared missing in action when the U.S.S. Peary was sunk when attacked by Japanese dive bombers, and was struck by five bombs in Darwin Harbor, Australia. Gave his life on February 19, 1942.

Navy Commander Malcolm Parker Hanson, Sr., 47, of Chevy Chase, Maryland. Killed in action in an airplane crash in Alaska. Gave his life on August 8, 1942. Graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1924.

Navy Lt Commander John Dott Harper, Jr., of Bethesda, Maryland. He was declared "Missing In Action" when the Shark was most likely sunk, by the Japanese destroyer Harukaze, in Luzon Strait during the war. Gave his life on October 24, 1944.
