MONTHLY ACTIVITY REPORT : PERIOD FROM 16 MAY 2021 to 15 JUNE 2021 1. Retest of Class 9 & 11. As per instructions of the CO, 56 UP Battalion, NCC, Jhansi, classes of online training program on THE NATIONAL CADETS CORPS was conducted by Mr. Vishal Yadav from 20 th May to 21 st May 2021. The cadets of APS Jhansi were taught about the history, aim and structure of NCC. 3. Hindi Fest “Hindi Mahotsava” May 2021. Hindi Fest for classes 1 st to 12 th was organized from 10 th April to 28 th April 2021. All the students of classes 1 to 12 participated in the activities as per their talent and choice. The activities for „Hindi Fest‟ were as follows: - (a) Hindi Calligraphy (b) Speech (c) Article (d) Square Puzzle (e) Drafting Advertisement (f) News Reading (g) Debate (h) Story Telling (j) Recitation (k) Shloka Recitation (l) Doha Recitation (m) Slogan Writing (n) Comic Poem 4. Students were asked to send their videos and photographs of their activities to the concerned class teachers and results were also declared according to the set criteria.

MONTHLY ACTIVITY REPORT : PERIOD FROM 16 MAY 2021 to 15 JUNE 2021

1. Retest of Class 9 & 11. Retest of classes 9 & 11(Session 2020-21) was conducted online for the absentees from 21st May to 22nd May 2021.

2. Online Training Program of NCC. As per instructions of the CO, 56 UP Battalion, NCC, Jhansi, classes of online training program on THE NATIONAL CADETS CORPS was conducted by Mr. Vishal Yadav from 20th May to 21st May 2021. 4. Students were asked to send their videos and photographs of their activities to the concerned class teachers and results were also declared according to the set criteria.

5. Elimination of Single Use Plastic. A concrete program is being organised to make the students aware of the hazards of plastic consumption in their daily life and how they can contribute at their level to save Mother Earth. To create awareness among the students, several activities were organized for classes 1st to 10th & 12th in the month of May in which they participated extensively. 6. Pottery “Plastic Free Kitchen”. Students of classes 1 & 2 made five beautiful utensils each with clay which they were asked to assemble on a cardboard or a sheet and send its picture. Children participated and came up with amazing ideas.

7. Picture Description “Plastic Mukt Bharat”. Students of classes 3 to 5 were asked to depict their ideas by drawing a picture on the topic “Plastic Mukt Bharat”. They exhibited their talents in this competition with zeal and made imaginative drawings using their creative skills.

8. Recitation Competition : “Nahi Chahiye Hume Plastic”. Students of classes 1 & 2

sent their clear and audible videos (1Min),reciting a poem on the theme “ Nahi Chahiye

Hume Plastic”.

9. Creative Activity : “Meri Gulak, Save Money and Environment”. A competition to show students creativity was held for classes 3 to 5, using waste plastic material. They were asked to make a piggy bank to save money and environment. They participated enthusiastically and came up with expressive creative skills.

10. Drafting an Advertisement. Students from classes 6 to 8 drafted interesting and knowledgeable advertisements under the theme 'Plastic-Free India'.

11. Creative Action. Students from classes 6 to 8 showed environmental awareness by making paper & cloth bags and writing slogans on the topic 'Avoid Plastic, Save the Environment'.

12. Article writing. Students of classes 9, 10 & 12 introduced the ill-effects of plastic by

writing an article on the topic 'Toxic Plastic is Harmful for the Environment'.

13. Speech. Students of classes 9, 10 & 12 displayed their great efforts by conveying the message of 'Avoid Plastic' by delivering a speech on the topic 'Plastic is the Enemy of the Environment'. They sent their clear and audible videos of 2 minutes, exhibiting their oratory skills. 14. 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, is conducting various activities in schools for commemorating the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Keeping in mind this purpose, Army Public School Jhansi, has decided to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi throughout the year. Various activities were conducted in the month of May 2021. The purpose of celebrating Mahatma Gandhi's 150th birth anniversary is not only to pay homage to the father of the nation but also to convey his message of peace and non-violence amongst humankind. 15. Bal Geet/ Hindi Prayer Recitation Competition”. Students of classes 1 to 5 were asked to send a clear and audible video (1 Min) by reciting on any one of the topics given.

16. Mask Making Competition : Father of the Nation “Gandhiji”. Students of classes 1

to 5 came up with attractive and eye-catchy masks on the theme “Gandhiji”. They actively

participated in the competition and showed how a paper mask can be made in different ways.

17. Devotional Singing Competition. Students sent their clear and audible videos (1min) singing a devotional song of their choice on “Rashtra Pita Mahatma Gandhi”. 18. Role-play “Abhinay Ke Sitare”. Students of classes 1 & 2 sent their recorded videos of (1min) in an adequately dressed attire enacting as one of the three monkeys of Gandhiji.

19. Hindi Calligraphy. A Calligraphy competition was held for classes 6 to 8 on the topic „Gandhiji‟s life‟.

20. Crosswords. Students from classes 6 to 8 answered the questions related to Mahatma Gandhi's life through a crossword puzzle. The puzzle was sent via Google Form. The children demonstrated great enthusiasm in solving the puzzle.

21. Story Telling. Students of classes 9 to 12 presented the events based on Gandhiji's life by narrating various short stories. They recorded their videos with great zeal and sent it to their class teachers.

22. 75th Independence Day Celebration. To mark the 75th year of India‟s independence, Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has launched “Azadi ke Amrit Mahotsav". Keeping this view in mind, Army Public School Jhansi had organised various activities in the month of May, covering the topic “Ek Bharat, Shresth Bharat” so that students can experience the spirit of the freedom struggle and the sacrifice of martyrs. 23. Calligraphy Competition on “Mera Bharat Mahan”. Hindi Sulekh Competition was organized in which students wrote a passage on the topic given. The students expressed their dexterous writing skills in this competition. 24. Poster Making Competition on “Mera Bharat Mahan”. Students of classes 3 to 5 were asked to make a poster on the theme “Mera Bharat Mahan” on an A4 size sheet , they participated earnestly and came up with amazing ideas.

25. Slogan Presentation. Slogan Presentation competition was held for classes 3 to 5 wherein they had to present a rhyming and catchy slogan on any one Indian Freedom fighter and record their videos for the duration of one minute.

26. “Meri Rasoi se Mera Mann Pasand Bhartiya Bhojan”. Students of classes 1 & 2 were asked to draw a picture of their favourite Indian food on an A4 size sheet and write 3 to 4 lines on the theme given.

27. “Vigyapan ki Duniya se” : Displaying an Advertisement. Students were asked to send their clear and audible videos (1 min) performing an attention-grabbing advertisement on the theme “Adopting Indigenous goods”.

28. Creative Writing : “Make in India”. Students of classes 3 to 5 were asked to write few a lines on the topic “Make in India” and depict the same through a creative drawing on an A4 size sheet.

29. Poem Recitation. Students of classes 6 to 8 recited a poem based on 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' and sent video recordings of it. 30. Speech. Inspiring speech on the theme 'Power in organization' was delivered by the students of classes 6 to 8.

31. Advertisement Presentation. Students of classes 9, 10 & 12 drafted artistic advertisements on the theme 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' and sent the screenshots of their activities to the concerned teachers.

32. Instrumental Music Activity. Instrumental music activity was conducted for classes 9, 10 & 12 wherein the students mesmerized the listeners by presenting patriotic tunes on the instrument.

33. Drawing Pictures of the Martyrs. On the 75th Independence Day, the students of classes 9,10 & 12 paid tribute to the martyrs by sketching pictures of the Freedom fighters

34. Special Assembly : Revolt of 1857. The first expression of organised resistance was the Revolt of 1857.It began as a revolt of the sepoys of the Company‟s army but eventually secured the participation of masses. A special assembly was conducted online on 10th May 2021, in which the students of class 12th D - Granth Rai, Raunak Rai, Sanjay and Yuvika performed a role play and delivered a speech to pay homage to the freedom fighters of the1857 Revolt.

35. Weekend Quiz Zee Mind Wars. Every week, an online weekend quiz Zee mind Wars ( Make in India) is being organized for the students of classes 4th to 10th wherein students are participating whole-heartedly.

36. FDRC Webinar on Inclusive Education. Mrs Anita Ahlawat ( Counsellor) along with Mrs Seema Trivedi ( PRT English), Nb Sub RR Niranjan (PRT Hindi), Mr Sudhir Kumar Tripathi ( PRT Maths) and Mrs Nishi Shukla successfully attended an FDRC webinar from 10th May to 13th May 2021. The webinar provided an insight into the nuances of Inclusive Education in an interactive educative way for better assimilation. The participants were briefed about the sensitization and awareness, curriculum planning, adaptation and assessment. The webinar also dealt with the screening of children with learning disabilities with the help of screening indicators checklist. It was an interesting and a fruitful experience. 37. FDRC Webinar Focused on Digicampus & LMS. Mr Praveen Agarwal (Computer Teacher) and Mr Sanjay Tahiliani (UDC) attended the webinar which was conducted from 24th May to 28th May 2021. It was organised to train the Computer/ IT teacher, Clerks/Accountants to deal with ERP (STL/DIGI CAMPUS). This webinar dealt with the introduction of Digicamp, its need & scope. The participants were also briefed about the LMS, school portal- Safety & security with cyber security. The webinar proved to be an extremely interesting and a fruitful experience.

38. Webinar on Skills & Life Skills Development : 31 May 21 - 04 Jun 21. A webinar was conducted from 31 May to 4 June 2021 on “Skills & Life Skills Development” for the Principals of APSs. Mrs Meenakshi Panjwani, Principal, represented Army Public School, Jhansi . In an enlightening session, Maj Gen R.K. Raina, MD AWES, addressed the Principals to help them enhance their life skills. They were guided on life skills for leadership in the 21st century for learners & learning, Art integration, and Science exhibition & Olympiads. They were also briefed about ATLs in APS system including Artificial intelligence, Robotics lab, Innovation labs, language labs and Hobby clubs for APSs. It was a highly enriching and a productive webinar.

39. Webinar on Financial Management, Legal & HR Issues : 07 Jun 21 - 11 Jun 21. Principal APSJ Mrs Meenakshi Panjwani attended a webinar from 07th June to 11th June 2021 which was conducted for the Principals of APSs to provide an insight into “Financial Management, Legal and HR Issues”. All the Principals were enlightened with financial management, procurement process with update and discussion on financial modules. The webinar also highlighted handling/ maintenance of schools accounts with its issues, filling of IT return & exemption, automation of ASTB process and linking with Digi Campus. The PPT presentation on POCSO & JJA made the webinar more interesting under the guidance of the resource person. Talking about the performance appraisal, the webinar concluded with the discussion on improvement in pay & allowances, contractual vis a vis regular teachers with reform, recruitment, retention and removal of Principals/ teachers. The session was truly informative and interactive.

40. World Environment Day Celebration. On the occasion of the World Environment Day, a tree plantation drive was conducted on 5th June, 2021. The occasion was graced by our respected Principal , Vice-Principal and the non-teaching staff members. Saplings were planted in the school premises and an oath was taken to save and take good care of the environment .

41. Report on Introduction of Awakened Citizen Program in APS Jhansi : 08 Jun 21. Awakened Citizen Program was implemented in APS Jhansi from April 2021 in classes 6 to 8. Teachers were briefed and Sub- topics of Universal Possibilities were discussed. The topic for April to June for Assembly was „Living in Harmony‟. Mask making activity was conducted, students made different types of colorful masks, and guided their younger brothers and sisters to use it and to wash their hands for 20 seconds regularly to keep them self-safe from CORONAVIRUS. They shared the responsibility of Sanitizing their house daily. During this period of COVID-19, students lived in harmony with their family , helping the elders and learning the traditions and culture of their religion. Students, a role model of good citizen helped their neighbours by providing them whatever they required, but did not forget to maintain six feet distance. Students strengthened the nation in controlling this epidemic.
