Moodle Submission Instructions

When you log into Moodle you should see a homepage like this:

Scroll down to the section labeled “My Courses” and look for your future courses

Under “Future Courses” locate classes label “DMin Project Writing” or “DEdMin Project Writing” (the Doctor of

Ministry office will register each student in the writing stage for their respective course)

Once you enter the course that applies to you (DMin and DEdMin respectively) you will find multiple resources

and discussion forums one the main page

Please locate the forum named after your respective supervisor and click that link.

It is important to note that you must change the group listed under “Visible groups” left hand side of the page

(roughly midway down the page) to match the discussion forum you are trying to access.

As you scroll down, you should find a discussion thread with your name on it. Once you have entered the

discussion forum by clicking on the link with your name on it, you will have the option to reply to the original

thread by clicking the “Reply” link in the bottom right hand corner.

When you click reply, a new page will open where you can enter a message and attach your work for the

supervisor to review. Once you have done so, please click “Post to forum.”

Please consult your supervisor as to the format in which he would like your work submitted in (searchable pdf,

word doc, etc).

*Students who are currently working to finish their project proposal and have yet to be assigned a supervisor

will not find a discussion thread by their name until they have been assigned a supervisor. Until this point they

should simply submit work within the contextualized writing seminar course or by hard copy to our office.

**There is no need for students to submit chapters in hard-copy format to the DMin office any longer. As of

April 30, 2014 please submit all chapters digitally through Moodle to your respective supervisor. Students will

only submit hard copies of your project to the DMin office for the initial style reading (chapters 1-3 with front &

back matter – 1 copy) and the defense ready drafts (entire project with all front & back matter – 3 copies).
