My moose hunts are traditional bush plane drop-off hunts. Camp will be made up of large “bomb shelter” style tents and cots. Moose hunting is done by glassing from high vantages and picking out a trophy bull. The temperature ranges from 35-65 degrees and weather can be unpredictable. You will likely see rain, fog, and even snow. Layering your clothing is important for being comfortable while hiking, stalking, and glassing.

These hunts are on the remote Alaska Peninsula with notoriously big bears and bad weather. A layering system of clothing and good rain gear is very important. Waders are also key to be able to cross rivers and tidal waters. Every day you will hike from camp to one of a few strategic spots to glass for bears. The temperature ranges from 35-65 degrees and you can expect a lot of rain. Camps are made of comfortable “bomb shelter” style tents that we base from.

Sheep hunts are sheep hunting in its purest form and there is nothing in the world like it. We access the mountain country via bush plane or ATV then the rest is done on boots. You will cover lots of ground going up and down mountains and through pristine valleys. Being mobile and hunting from small portable tent camps is the key. Often you will not camp in the same spot for days on end. Weather can be very nice but it is Alaska after all, and can be unpredictable. Typical temperatures range from 35 – 65 degrees, with everything from rain to snow and ice. Layering your clothing is crucial for being able to adjust to weather and stop and go hiking.
