GDS = payments/yr +taxes/year + heating / year X 100Gross annual income

=$12,000+$4,000+5,000 X 100$120,000

=17.5%

b. How much is total debt service?

TDS= payments/yr +taxes + heating / year + consumers debt X 100Gross annual income

=$12,000+$4,000+5,000+ $5,000 X 100$120,000

=$26,000 X 100 $120,000=21.67%

2. How much will the GDS be for someone with the following income and expenses?

Gross annual income $80,000Mtg payments per year $ 8,000Property taxes per yr. $ 3,000Heating per year $ 4,000

3. How much will the above person’s TDS be if she has an outstanding credit card balance of $4,000 but no other debts?
