Mount Toubkal (Summmer)
Morocco
Mount Toubkal (Summer)MorocCOTRIP GRAD Medium
DATES: October 2017
DURATION: 7 Days
Nature is never far away in Morocco. Desert, moun-
tains, valleys and sea - the country has plenty to
offer fans of the outdoors! Hikers of all levels
will love walking the Moroccan mountains. Among
the temperate peaks of the Rif mountain range, its
cliffs jutting out into the Mediterranean make this
under-explored region magical.
The lakes are packed with trout waiting for ama-
teur fishermen. The more sporty will want to tackle
the challenges of the Middle and Upper Atlas moun-
tains on foot, by mountain bike or in
a paraglider, or to practice mountain climbing,
canyoning or pot-holing. Its summits can reach
4000m high. Ifrane, the little Moroccan Switzer-
land, may come as a pleasant surprise with its sum-
mer coolness, winter snow and traditional “mule-
ski” trails.
Nothing is as indescribable as a stay on the edge
of the desert... Head to Ouarzazate to discover
its immensity and colours.
At night, opt for an encampment in the desert, a cha-
let in the mountains and, wherever you are, bed and
breakfast with the locals for an unforgettable and
authentic experience. These are at the heart of the
Moroccan identity, like palmtrees, argan oil and
the honey from its lavender. Looking out over the
Atlantic, you will be enchanted by the turquoise
waters of Dakhla bay! There you will meet migratory
birds and pink flamingos.
In Morocco, every taste is naturally catered for!

for groups. Please remember that the
main purpose of our trips is to be rea-
sonably priced.

WEATHER
Morocco is at its best in spring (mid-March to May), when the country is lush and
green, followed by autumn (September to November), when the heat of summer has
eased. At other times, don’t underestimate the extremes of summer heat and winter,
particularly in the High Atlas, where snowcapped peaks persist from November to
July. If you are travelling in winter, head for the south, although be prepared for
bitterly cold nights. The north coast and the Rif Mountains are frequently wet and
cloudy in winter and early spring.
FITNESS AND SAFETYSafety is our major concern with any
trip we run. All of the guides are chosen
for their extensive international expe-
rience. They each have at least 10 years
running expeditions around the world.
All have first aid qualifications of the
highest standard including at least one
medic on each trip. We carry an exten-
sive First Aid kit and Satellite phones
with us at all times. There are no spe-
cial requirements for this trip, except
a huge sense of adventure. There are no
restrictions providing you are in rea-
sonable physical shape. Medical forms
will be handed out in the booking packs
for you to let us know of any medical
conditions or allergies you have.

difference, you will find out more de-
tails once you have booked!!
