Morpheme

A speech element having a meaning or grammatical function that cannot be

subdivided into further such elements.

Kinds of morpheme

Bound

Bound morphemes are meaning-bearing units of language, such as prefixes and suffixes, that are attached to unbound morphemes. They cannot stand alone.

Free Morpheme

• Free morpheme can function independently as words, and can appear with other words.e,g
