MOSAICSituational Awareness Applications Enhancing Operations & Training
INTRODUCTION
Airbox writes software for tablets, phones and laptops which helps teams of people working together visualise their environment and share data in operational situations.
Multi-award winning, the company is built on innovation through simplicity, blending the technical with the tactical to produce intuitive products that present information in a clear, easy to interpret manner.
“Bringing the control room to the frontline with its powerful collaborative
information and intelligence sharing tools”
Our StoryFounded in 2008, Airbox Systems Limited is an independent, privately owned UK-based company with its headquarters in Oxfordshire.
Airbox believe that by giving people better information with which to do their job, it can improve outcomes. That information could be anything which the user needs to know: tracking, documentation, mapping, intelligence, photos, video, sensor information etc.
Airbox Systems are open to accepting information from more or less any source which the user requires.
Airbox applications are:
ComprehensiveAirbox systems are able to visualise and share almost any information intuitively.
Flexible The ability to fit the system around your oper-ations by incorporate your data into the Airbox system as either a stand alone or to extent existing command and control systems.
Attainable The least expensive and fastest system to roll out in its class.
MOSAIC - ENHANCING SPEED, ACCURACY, SAFETY
Interactive, on the move With MOSAIC’s tactical toolkit, users can instantly share plans, information and intelligence with their team. A real-time system that delivers complete mission overview with accurate identifica-tion of locations, people, targets or those in distress.
Greater team safety and awarenessMOSAIC incorporates internal and external feeds such as CCTV and drone footage providing a seamless visual interface. MOSAIC’s collaborative view enhances speed, accuracy and safety in difficult and demanding situations.
Improved operational efficency Informed operatives produce better and safer outcomes. MOSAIC enables users to focus quickly and arrive informed, helping to accelerate the mission by intensifying the support it places in the hands of every operative.
Force multiplier and assuranceEvery action becomes more focussed; enabling teams to optimise use of time and smarter man-agement of resources. MOSAIC enables you to achieve more with less during operations and train-ing and record all activity.
FUNCTIONALITY - LOCATE, IDENTIFY, TRACK & DECIDE
Key FunctionalityMOSAIC acts as a force multiplier enabling teams to cover large areas and improving reaction times by removing ambiguity using the following key features:
• Tracking of mobile devices and tracker units
• Collaborative annotation toolset including geo-fences
• Encrypted messaging system
• Remote tasking through automated checklists
• Drone interface to generate up-to-date map images of a location
• Access to 3rd party cell phone video and location
• Android, iOS and Windows compatibility
• Air-ground interaction
All information is displayed on a single shared view, displayed in the Control Room and on mobile devices carried by deployed teams.
AGILE NETWORKS - A COMMON PICTURE
A Shared View: MOSAIC creates a common operating picture enabling information to berapidly shared across traditional organisational boundaries. Users can to be assigned and re-assigned to missions to meet operational demands, creating agile networks.
Improved Outcomes: Visually powerful and geo-referenced information enables usersto rapidly orientate to changing situations. Operational use has shown that MOSIAC improves outcomes by
• Reducing location based radio traffic by 94% - ‘My Location is…confirm your location?’
• Improving User Situational Awareness by 33%, minimising scope for human error
• Improves the speed of decision making by 43%
Maximising Resources: The ability to dynamically brief on the move, negating theneed to return to a central location, reduces response time from between 30 minutes and 2 hours per task enhancing the safety, efficiency and effectiveness of resource allocation.
Shared Situational Awareness
