GAC AlumniWhere are they now?

Taylor Gilbert, GACCoordinator, moderated ourrecent GAC Reunion wheresome of our alumni impartedwords of wisdom to current GACmembers. "I am the first personfrom my high school to attendHarvard," says a smilingKeyanna Wigglesworth (GAC'09'12). A distinction she isclearly proud to share with the

GAC group, she continues, "Harvard gave me a sense of placeand belonging. It's a feeling I experienced at API, too. Lessons about Alice Paul showed me that I can be strong byjust being myself."

Madison Higgins ('04'09)offered, "API gave mepermission to not be bossybut to be considered aleader. And thatpermission carried methrough high school andcollege. When presentedwith a challenge at work(at Disney World), I draw on the leadership skills API taughtme and I feel empowered." As a first year medical student, Alexa Rae Santomero ('04'09) agrees, adding that her GACexperiences helped her approach professors with confidence. That sentiment is echoed by Drexel grad, Michelle Dorst ('04'09), BSN who explained, "in nursing you need to be a patientadvocate and to be an advocate you need to know how to

speak up GAC gave me

Lauren Wills ('04'08) werebest friends through gradeschool, and the two joined

API when they had thechance for a sleepover inAlice's house. Recallingher early teenage yearsNora says, "When I lookback at my time in GAC,

all the fun I had and all the cool things I did, I realize API wasa safe place to be me; to be giggly and serious and grow withmy friends. GAC brought out the feminist in me." Lauren, aRowan University graduate student happily states, "GAC

brought into focus the idea of working for a cause that wasbigger than one person and would benefit many."

The WellsFargo executive brings herexpertise in finance and hopes to extend API's reachinto the financial community when thoseopportunities arise. As a camp counselor for Girlblazers, ElizabethPalmer fell in love with the mission and the girls and
