This old 18th-century manor, bought in 1900 by the heir of

motley market located at that place. Formerly known as Upper

Trading Rows, GUM is the only venue that can boast a fantastic

panoramic view of the Red Square. With a façade extending for

almost 250 meters along the eastern side of Red Square, GUM is

much more than just a store.

The Demonstration Hall is situated on the 3rd floor of the building

and has a separate entrance from Red Square via grand staircase

made in red Karelian granite. The interior is decorated in a

traditional emperor style, in light exquisite colors. The Hall’s total

area is 365 sq. meters. The stage is 10x10 meters.
