Thank you for your generosity! Lord Hear Our Prayers

Beloved co-workers in the Lord's Vineyard at Most Holy Name of Jesus, It is with profound gratitude that I

give thanks to God for the gift of each of you. I am so thankful for your warm welcome. I am comfortably getting settled in, and I love my new Spiritual Home already. Together with the Parish Staff, we have identified priority areas in and around our Church facilities which need urgent attention, and require further improvement and maintenance. Among these include:

-Replacing the broken air conditioning units in the Goodman Center. They are 16 in number and only 8 are working at minimum capacity. The cost is $ 800.00 per unit. One generous parishioner has already donated $1,000 to this effort which gives us a start.

-Upgrading the social Hall Kitchen with a new stove and one or two refrigerators. So if you know someone who is remodeling their kitchen please ask them to donate their outgoing unit to our Church. Our long-term goal is to acquire new cabinets and freshen the overall utility of the kitchen. -Maintaining the lawn around the Church premises. Everyone agrees that the new landscaping planted last year is beautiful. That upgrade requires that we keep the flowerbeds weed free. We will be laying all new mulch and stone around the building perimeters. We would appreciate anyone who would like to come and help with the weekly upkeep of pulling weeds, or trimming plants. Your sacrificial donations would be most appreciated. Please contact our Parish office on how you may be able to assist. Thank you so much for all your generous offerings, and May God bless you all.

Fr. Frank

It is difficult to share the news that the youth group that we so welcomed last Sunday made the decision to

relocate the event on Sunday afternoon. Despite previous tours of the Goodman Center, the A/C systems were judged inadequate and the event organizer made the decision to move the group to an alternate location.

We are at a turning point with the upper floor of

the Goodman Education Center building. Many of us remember when the school was still open and the level of activity was always off the chart. That is no longer the case. We thought we had found an alternative that we could build upon. We tried to “put the cart before the horse”.

Any special donation will be appreciated. God Bless us all

May the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ enlighten the eyes of our hearts,

that we may know what is the hope that belongs to our call. Eph 1:17-18

Thank you to our parishioners who have responded generously with pledges and gifts in support of the 2018 Annual Pastoral Appeal. Your generosity to APA helps our parish with our financial responsibility.

To date, we have received $29,570.00 from 104 households toward our $ 68,109.00 goal. Every gift makes a difference. Please, prayerfully consider a gift of hope to those in need.

RCIA Do you want to become a Catholic? Do you have all of your sacraments? Do you know someone who may want to become Catholic or needs to complete his/her sacraments? Please contact Kim in the church office to set up an appointment. Classes will be starting in August.

We are getting ready for our Steubenville trip. All teens and their parents/guardians need to attend a mandatory meeting this Wednesday, July 18th to discuss our itinerary and fill out all of the necessary paper work.

Please pray for our teens who will be making a pilgrimage to Orlando this month. The youth group thank you for your support. We still need sponsors.

Please call Kim in the office if you have any questions.

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Fr. George’s mother, Helen Iregi. If you would like to drop off a card, or have a Mass said for her, please come by the office or the gift

shop. We will be sending a bulk package of your cards to Fr. George. Please keep him and his family in your prayers.
