Mother’s day in Sweden

We give our mummies coffee and cake, flowers, cards and presents in the morning. Many children make the cards and the presents themselves, but you

can also buy Happy Mother’s Day-cards in the shops.

Mummy is supposed to have a nice day, so the family services her the best they can all day! Some families go out for dinner, or make a good dinner at

home for Mummy. If you’re a grown-up you go and visit your mother to congratulate her. Also grand-mothers are congratulated.

Mother’s Day is a family day.
