WHAT IS MOTIVATION ?Case examples :Mr. A work’s as a Director of a multinational company which operates internationally within 40 countries in the world and has achieved a spectacular progress for a time period of 5 years only. On the 6th year the company experienced a financial collapse, employee performance degradation, and losing trust from investor’s because of the many catastrophic disaster event’s that threatens the company’s operations. All of the problem’s were centered within Mr. A’s capability to be able to deal with them. But Mr. A is experiencing a demotivation process, and as a superior he was exhausted, overexposed, everwhelmed with negativity that was always surrounding his working space. The question is what should Mr. A do next ? Which problem is the most dangerous one ? Answer : Mr. A should for sure check himself with a Psychological Team to inspect him and make certain that he would be able to deal with all the problem’s by himself without suffering any error’s & mistakes, and if he need’s to be motivated by a reliable person then he should consult with the motivator.

Page 7: MOTIVATION TIP's FOR EVERYONE - Understanding (2)

WHAT IS MOTIVATION ?Answer : Therefore Mr. A should ask for a good advice about the problem’s he faced to the Motivator. The Motivator will then analyzed all of the problem’s and inform Mr. A about the situation & condition he faced. It is generally known that the type of problem Mr. A is facing is closely related with Business / Working problem’s but there is a serious tendency that Mr.A is facing a Personality Chaos which caused him to experienced demotivation/degeneration or inability to control himself properly. Then the most dangerous problem is his own Personal problem’s (his decreasing capability & strength) that has an internal nature (located within inside of his character/temperament psychological control and biological control). If Mr. A is able to understand everything in a positively way and he knows the right thing to do then as in artistically expressed sentence that “ he will raise his own spirit’s & strength & energy and then make a promise or a vow to finish the problem’s he faced without any doubt anymore, surely he will have as much as help whenever he need’s them “. When the problem was taken care of, or solved by victorious events such as the company’s recognition over Mr. A’s existence and achiement’s and rewarded him with an honourable degree or title as a true leader with a success of saving the lives of many people who works with the company, and the hope of prosperity from everyone.

How does MOTIVATION Works ?To be able to figure out how motivation works, we have to conduct a discussion on a certain topic which is “ List of The Most Enjoyable & Favourite Thing’s in our Daily Activities “. Let’s start by compiling a list of thing’s in a major group that can be defineable more spesificly in a smaller detail’s of activity.Let’s find out what kind of thing’s that we enjoy most of the time in our daily activities, let’s say we make a group list of thing’s such as :- Comfortness & Quality- Food’s & Drink’s- Entertainment’s & Amusement’s- Knowledge’s & Title’s- Sport’s & Leisure’s- Attention & Recognition- Rank’s & Position’s- Freespace & Natural View’s- Appreciation ‘s & Expression’s- Safety & Control

Page 9: MOTIVATION TIP's FOR EVERYONE - Understanding (2)

MOTIVATION-Discussion Work1st Step : Now, among the thing’s mentioned in the list before, there must be a primary thing that we enjoy the most or we need the most. Each person can make a list of their own thing’s of enjoyment, and make a list of top priorities according to their own. For example, my number one top of the list is comfortness, and then knowledge’s, and then entertainment’s, and then the rest.2nd Step : Now make a list of priorities that mentioned the thing’s you enjoy mostly in your daily activities in a numbered order, on a piece of paper. After you finished doing that, read and memorize the writing’s you wrote on the paper, and afterward’s fold the paper and keep them in your pocket.3rd Step : Then, try to make a conversation between you and the person next to you, try to find out about what is the number one of the memorized list of the person you talk to. If he or she have the same answer with you, then make a group of discussion consist of people with similarities of list. Now you have a friend in the same group.

Page 10: MOTIVATION TIP's FOR EVERYONE - Understanding (2)

MOTIVATION-Discussion Work4th Step : Next is, open your piece of paper, and so does your friend. Discuss with your friend’s about what should be the number one on the list of priority, then join your opinion’s together to make a new list of priorities. Wrote the result’s of your discussion on a piece of paper again. Now you have a friend with the same opinion’s.

5th Step : Next, work out with your friend’s. Choose your leader to make a presentation in front of the class about the list of priorities, and you must give support to your leader. Each of the group’s leader stand’s in front of the class and then make a short speech about the list of priorities. The speech is about the list and give reason’s why the mentioned list must be in the written order.

Page 11: MOTIVATION TIP's FOR EVERYONE - Understanding (2)

MOTIVATION-Discussion Work6th Step : Next, after each group leader give speeches about the list of priority, the audience will give points to each leader according to their most favourite one. After the points given, the leader with the highest point’s will become the winner, then all the group member step forward to the front of the class to congragulate him / her. The list of priority of the winner then will represent the most favourite list. The essence point’s that we can retrieve from this discussion work is that to understand MOTIVATION, we have to do a certain process called ACTION. The same like ACTION is MOTION, which means that we have to do a particular movement or to move in a certain manner. By doing ACTION or MOTION then we are doing things that is urged or pushed by a certain MOTIVE. It also means that before ACTION & MOTION is done, we need a reason to encourage ourself, in this way it’s called a MOTIVE. Now, can we think of just one MOTIVE only that will urged us to do ACTION or MOTION? But if we have so many activities or thing’s we want to do in our lives, then we must have a lot of reasoning to do. Now, this is what makes our ability to make reasons or MOTIVE is called MOTIVATION. Because basicly, the ability is within ourself, we are equipped with that ability since childhood. But as we grow old, we need more reason’s for doing thing’s or getting the thing’s we want. Then we can figure out, just where does our MOTIVATION comes from anyway?

Explanations of FlowchartGiven by the flowchart above are examples of how motivation works starting from selection of personal qualities from members of the group untill the final decision of giving points for the best reason’s that represent the most favourite list & leaders. The main point is that this schemes was made for conducting the methods of Rational & Logical Thinking between members involved to produce “The Right Decision” (which is represented by the best reasons). The flowchart can be used for another kind of objective that has similarities with understanding Motivation, if there is any person who is interested in finding out the answer from questions in mind, such as “looking for a future candidate of Chairman”. The process taken & final result achieved will represent the best reasons of the selected Chairman.

Page 14: MOTIVATION TIP's FOR EVERYONE - Understanding (2)

MOTIVATION-Discussion WorkThe type’s of motivational approach that was used in the process :

Before the discussion take place, the member’s of the group will receive guidance from the Mentor. The member’s of the group will then follow instruction’s from the Mentor and that was called an Indirect approach of Motivation because the motive comes from outside of one’s personality. The actual subject is the member’s personality and the mentor’s position is outside of the group giving guidance. Afterward, the discussion process then start and each of the member’s is absorbing energy that comes from it’s inner personality, by thinking (using inner energy) with their own personal thought’s, personal opinion’s, or personal feeling’s. Starting from the beginning of the discussion, the process was called a Direct approach of Motivation.

The 2 type’s of motivational approach involved in the process was occurred almost like a common natural process like of water vapourizing from the ground surface or sea surface by absorption of heat energy from the sunlight radiation (heating up) that transforming it’s molecular form of liquid state (heavy) into gaseous state (lighter) then floating in the air (decreasing of molecular mass), then because there was differences of temperature and air pressure in the atmosphere, they start to gather forming layers of clouds of water vapour in spesific/certain altitudes, and then as a result of low atmospheric pressure and low temperature (cooling down) they will start to become dense/becomes heavy again, transform it’s molecular form back into drop’s of water (increasing of molecular mass) rainfall dropping (precipitate) into ground surface (remember : hydrology cycle).

Page 15: MOTIVATION TIP's FOR EVERYONE - Understanding (2)

MOTIVATION-Discussion WorkThe 2 type’s of motivational approach was explained to be similar like a

hydrology cycle, where the position of a Mentor is like the sun who is giving light energy through radiation of sunlight heating up the earth surface. The members of the group position is like the water on earth surface and oceans. This was explained as a comparison when we study and learn about nature then we will eventually know why the process of nature is always involving a certain type of energy wether it is heat energy, gravitation energy, molecular energy, chemical energy, kinetical energy, potensial energy, mechanical energy, magnetical energy, sound energy, or electrical energy. When we take a closer look then we will discover that all of the energy involved in natural process was almost similar like the energy we used day by day, and that means that if we have biological needs (we eat, drink, breathe, sleep, protecting, sex/mating) inside of our body, nature performs a similar process too. It is the same process with nature if we can understand the cycles of nature.

The objective of understanding this motivational approach is that if we can balance and harmonized ourself with doing activities that is healthier, smarter, happier, more comforting, more secure, or even more precious/valuable then we will be able to increase motivation from our inner personality, then motivate others surrounding us.

Page 16: MOTIVATION TIP's FOR EVERYONE - Understanding (2)

MOTIVATION-Discussion Work*Heat Energy can be obtained from a fire (plasma form) and can be transferred by means of convection, conduction, and radiation. The amount of heat can be increase depending from the inceneration/fuel source type and or the burning process of it. *Gravitation Energy can increase when an object (with certain mass) position distance is far from the earth surface (up in the air) in atmosphere boundaries.*Molecular Energy can increase when molecules vibrates intensely in a certain substance.*Chemical Energy can increase when a chemical substance was change from its original base form into a more useful form (such as crude oil to gasoline, petrol, diesel, etc) or a more useful combination (such as mixture of sugar+oxygen called glucose).*Kinetical Energy can increase when an object moves in certain speed.*Potensial Energy can increase when an object has a large mass.*Mechanical Energy can increase when an object speed & mass combines to move continuously in a certain way.*Magnetical Energy can increase when an object distance (with metal composed) is closer to the magnetic field or its magnetivity.*Sound Energy can increase when the frequency and amplitude is greater.*Electrical Energy can increase when the voltage output is greater.

Page 17: MOTIVATION TIP's FOR EVERYONE - Understanding (2)

MOTIVATION-Discussion WorkIn our effort to measure the Energy flow that was involved in the

discussion process, since there is no calculating device to measure them, we simply make a certain assumption first that each and every person has it’s own energy point’s that was expressed in the opinion’s, thought’s, and feeling’s of his answer written on a sheet of paper, and within the discussion conversation’s, communication, unification of opinion’s process there was a natural selection of ideas. The natural process of it then would select the best ideas that contain the highest amount of energy point’s which can represent all of the members and also its unification of ideas. The person who was chosen or appointed by all member’s to make a presentation & speech of reasoning will then posses the highest level of energy from each group, and each leader’s strength will be measured by means of performance in front of class. Thus, we would be able to find out that the energy involved in the discussion does exist and can be measured. The definition of energy would probably closely related with psychological or mental/mind subject. Although we are still in the beginner stage, but we can always try another kind of effort to understand the meaning of it.

Page 18: MOTIVATION TIP's FOR EVERYONE - Understanding (2)

MOTIVATION-Discussion WorkSO THE QUESTION IS “WHERE DO WE GET OUR MOTIVATION ANYWAY ?”Let’s find out ! Now, can we ask our own parent’s the same question?or maybe not. If the ability we have were basicly natural, then we can figure out the first anwer. HERE WE GO !!! Let’s say that to figure out the 1st answer, we have to find a way to answer the question.THE WAY IS : Direct Approach : “ Motivation comes from the inside of one’s personality”.Indirect Approach : “ Motivation comes from the outside of one’s personality“ .

To point out one’s personality directly means that each person has it’s own capability to produce motivation from it’s inner personality. To point out one’s personality indirectly means that each person has it’s own capability to get motivation from outside of one’s personality. Now, let’s say that MOTIVATION is like the energy that was produced by ourself in every ACTION or MOTION. Whenever or each time we perform an action that was urged by a certain motive we then produce a type of motion/movement. Like, for example we perform an action of protecting our house from burglar’s by locking the doorhouse & window’s, building fences and installing alarms.

Page 19: MOTIVATION TIP's FOR EVERYONE - Understanding (2)

MOTIVATION-Discussion WorkWhen we perform an action of protecting our house from burglar’s by

locking the doorhouse & window’s, building fences and installing alarms, we need or require a reason as a motive, and by doing reasoning in our inner thought’s we were running our MIND about a possibility or options such as : The possibility of a burglar coming to our house and then rob our treasure, or the possibility that if there is a burglar who is trying to enter the house then he would find trouble because the alarms protecting the house will turn On and alarming the nearest Police Station. By doing reasoning, we encourage ourself to become more aware of something important according to the cause of effect against us. We then think that if we have a good reason in our MIND about protecting our own house from burglary then we would be able to Motivate our family so that they can be stronger and better inside the house. Why ? Because by protecting our house properly we protect our family activity from threat’s of danger and even securing the parents psychological thoughts from worries and negativity of threat’s.

The same thing with the above paragraph is when we get motivation from outside of our personality, like when we perform an action of protecting our house from burglars because there is a Police officer who advise us. The reasoning or motive will be given by the Police Officer as the person who has security authority.

Page 20: MOTIVATION TIP's FOR EVERYONE - Understanding (2)

MOTIVATION-Discussion Work“MOTIVATION is like an Energy”Let’s remember the lesson’s we learn in school about a scientific theory, that is the law’s of thermodynamic’s. “Energy cannot be created nor destroyed, but simply transformed from one form to another “. Now, let’s say that we get energy mostly from our food’s and drink’s which is of course is our basic biological need’s. But what about our psychological need’s ? For example if a person’s has the need’s to express his thought’s, his work’s, his feeling’s, or his behaviour then how will he get’s the energy after doing the activity? It’s a bit difficult to explain about our psychological need’s, because it is very different from our biological need’s for it is abstract and immaterial nature. It’s more like food’s that we did not consume, but we enjoy them with our senses. Now, MOTIVATION can be produced from the inner person’s personality, because he or she has the capability to absorb or hold / reserve the energy (Direct Approach). In relation with psychological/mental/mind subject, it means that a person who can hold his thought’s, hold his feeling’s, or defending his mentality or stand up for his mind will be able to think with a good reasoning, think with a good objective, think with good consideration, and motivating his personal life.

Page 21: MOTIVATION TIP's FOR EVERYONE - Understanding (2)

MOTIVATION-Discussion WorkBut MOTIVATION can also be produced from the outside of a person’s personality because he or she will be capable of releasing the energy (Indirect Approach). For Example : A person who was inspired by a work from a famous Professor of Science who discovered a theory of relativity will be able to encourage himself with a motive or reasoning to conduct an experiment on the discovered theory. When he think about it and then expressed his own personal thought’s, feeling’s, and goal’s about it, he would have a MIND about the objective he want’s to achieve, and it was like using the works from the Professor as an inspirational source to build a concept about space & time with a close relationship to the theory of relativity, he want’s to predict the speed of light. Thus, he will produce Motivation by doing action and movement in a certain way but the source of encouragement is the Professor, not himself. That means that this person is USING other person’s works as a motive/reason for him to think/MIND about and releasing his every thoughts, opinions, feelings on the experiment works. When he succeeded in achieving the right concept, then he will be able to motivate the others to do the same thing like him.

Page 22: MOTIVATION TIP's FOR EVERYONE - Understanding (2)

How does MOTIVATION Works ?Now, we can draw a simple explanation about how MOTIVATION works :First : Motivation will work when we have a motive/reason to think about

and that makes Motivation has to be done step by step.Seccond : Motivation can work Personally – when we try to encourage

ourselves to achieve an objective/goal and getting somekind of reward over the effort taken, or else getting some sort of a penalty if fail to do so.

Third : Motivation can work Interpersonally - Inside a family, a group, a community, co-worker’s-colleagues, company member’s, or a society – when they or all of the members try to achieve a new result that will have an objective/goal taken. It usually has somekind of a challenge / obstacle and it is more difficult & hard because of the many factors involved. Motivation inside the inner circle work is like a network that connecting the communication & visual interactions lines and give encouragements through unification of ideas & perception.

Page 23: MOTIVATION TIP's FOR EVERYONE - Understanding (2)

Why do we need MOTIVATION ?The answer of the question why do we need motivation is :- If Motivation is like an Energy that was basicly inside of our capability of

producing the best or good reasons & motives in doing actions, then we need Motivation to determine the Directions & Destinations & Decisions of our movements in everyday life.

- If Motivation is like a Positive Energy that can strengthening & builds our actions, and also like a Negative Energy that can weakens & damaging our actions, then we need Motivation to control the way we conduct our movements or actions in everyday life.

- If Motivation is like the energy that helps us to grow, to develop our way of thinking, to encourage our hearts in doing improvements & progressions then we need Motivation to work with our mind, to work with our body, to work with our hearts/feelings, and to produce the best output/results in the work activity, so that we can enjoy the reward or the penalty from achievements or from failures/mistakes of work activity.

Page 24: MOTIVATION TIP's FOR EVERYONE - Understanding (2)

Where Do We Get Our Motivation?Examples of an activity : Dinner With The Family MembersA family has a traditional customs that is unique among one another. A family of Mr. A has kept a traditional customs in long years for an event of Dinner Of Family Member. In an occasion of Dinner, all of the family members were gathered and all of them has a certain want’s & need’s. It’s almost similar like a Discussion Work but in a different format. Because the family realized that eating habit will affect daily activities , they held the tradition to be able to produce motivation from the inside of the family circle. Inside the family circle, doing both biological activity & psychological activity are able to make the family more unified. The family will eat good & tastefull food’s while they also talk & communicate each other. Basicly, the family is performing an Action and Motion to encourage themselves with a motive of achieving satisfaction from food & drinks and also from getting to know one another.

So, based on the paragraph above we can make a simple conclusion that a person can performed both biological & psychological activity with a connnection between emotion’s and intelligence. From eating activity we enjoy food & drinks with our sensory organs (mouth, tongue, nose, etc) for its delightfull taste, and it was making our emotions becomes positive.

Page 25: MOTIVATION TIP's FOR EVERYONE - Understanding (2)

Where Do We Get Our Motivation?Examples of an activity : Dinner With The Family MembersEmotion’s are very closely related with how our sensory organs performing its normal functions and giving information to our brain through nerve/neuron networks (mouth, tongue, nose through peripheral nervous system’s & central nervous systems). Our brain are basicly very sensitive and whenever the body receive or experiencing good taste from food, the information was stored in our brain like a good memory. Thus, everytime we eat good & tastefull foods we experienced a good emotional feelings of comfortness, warmth, and enjoyment. The emotion then will be recorded in our memory functions waiting to be transformed into thoughts. There was no clear connection between how emotion works and how intelligency works, but by taking example from this activity we are able to find out about them. Now, we can figure out these certain details :- How our sensory organs responds from eating good food & drinks.- How our brain responds to keep the information as a sort of memory.- How our minds responds toward appreciating the taste.- How our psychological state responds toward the views & communication.- How our psychological functions works toward the enjoyment.

Where Do We Get Our Motivation?

Page 27: MOTIVATION TIP's FOR EVERYONE - Understanding (2)

Where Do We Get Our Motivation?By following examples, we can figure out some options of source where we we can get Motivation and that is :- If we have a family to share events such as doing breakfast, lunch, or dinner

together then we would take part or have a role in a family as recognized member who was being appreciate from time to time. It means that there is an older/senior person in the family who will always giving you encouragements because it is customary for them to do so. We can get motivation from our parent, older/senior family member, or even junior.- If we have a record or notes, journals, diary, memoar photograph, memorabilia,

or family tree book that we can read or look back for each/some time when we want then we’ll be able to remember things that was happening in older days and we usually expect for something good to come in the future. - If we have somekind of an enjoyable habit, habitual ceremony, hobbies &

favourites, lifestyle and manners or ways of doing daily activity, then we would be able to express, teaching ourselves, learning independently, appreciating the time, following our own progress from time to time, taking valuable moments or memory then we can get motivation on our own.

Page 28: MOTIVATION TIP's FOR EVERYONE - Understanding (2)

Where Do We Get Our Motivation?By following examples, we can figure out some options of source where we can get Motivation and that is :- If we stay focused on bringing back good feelings, great emotions, or

something that has a very personal impact for us (like for example : words and sayings from the person you cared or loved, gift & small pictures from our loved ones, any small things or help from our closest ones) then we should keep them as personal as it can be, and don’t let any other hand interfere with that, and we might get some motivation if lucky.- If we want to get motivated after doing something fun or exciting, then we

should use the activity to change the fatiqueness, tiredness, boredness, or bad emotional thoughts (minds that was affected by worsened mood or temper, or emotions) into something more usable, nice, or has a point (like for example : doing discussions after the activity, making some sort of a plan or schedule, writing every experience get after doing the activity in journals, papers, diaries, notes or any kind of record forms, making changes-improvements-modifications of the activities so that it will taste different, etc).

Page 29: MOTIVATION TIP's FOR EVERYONE - Understanding (2)

Who Is Motivation ?“ MOTIVATION is like an energy ”Because of the nature of Motivation was to move yourself starting from making reason’s/motive and into action so that it becomes a movement and then producing motivation by yourself, Motivation was like a Positive Energy.Motivation is doing a control by giving the mind a reason to think about, giving the body an energy to make a movement and will give the heart an opennes or willingness toward the things done in life. Our personality can become stronger whenever the motivation is right, pure, or noble but it can also weakening if the motivation we get is not right, impure, or cruel. We can always look back in our past events journeys when there was many wrong actions happening because of impure, cruel, wrongfull thing. If we are in that kind of condition’s then we are experiencing a Negative Energy or Demotivation. To be able to recognize the basic nature of the motivation energy, we have to find out about the effect it generates, or impact on our surroundings and toward ourselves most importantly.

Who Is Motivation ?“ MOTIVATION is like a Positive Energy that came from the right, pure, and noble thing ”Basicly, our personality can become increasingly powerfull when receiving and producing this Positive Energy of Motivation. In the picture of a cube, located in the center of the cube is a sphere representing our Personality/Character which influenced by Motivation Direction. The 3D axis involved is X,Y,Z and the space has Positive regions also Negative Regions. Imagine, if we receive and produce a Positive Energy of Motivations then the sphere would move in a certain manner in a certain direction along X,Y,Z axis, it would move to the RIGHTWARD, UPWARD, FRONTWARD (X+,Y+,Z+). To describe what does the movement like is :- Whenever you are believing The Truth, doing The Right Thing, Searching Facts &

Logical, doing Improvements, you will move in RIGHT direction X+.- Whenever you are using your Intellectuality & Religiosity & Spirituality, thinking

about the things you want to know, learn, and develop as knowledge you will move in UPWARD direction Y+.

- Whenever you are facing any problems an able to overcome them, solving puzzles, mysteries, unknown, undiscovered, exploring them you will move in FRONTWARD direction Z+.

Page 32: MOTIVATION TIP's FOR EVERYONE - Understanding (2)

Which are the things that Motivate Us

“ DEMOTIVATION is like a Negative Energy that came from the wrong, impure, and cruel & vicious thing ”

Imagine, if we receive and produce a Negative Energy that create Demotivations then the sphere would move in a certain manner in a certain direction along X,Y,Z axis, it would move to the LEFTWARD, DOWNWARD, BACKWARD (X-,Y-,Z-). To describe what does the movement like is :- Whenever you are disbelieving The Truth, doing The Wrong Sinfull Thing,

Searching Lies & Illogical, doing Destructions, you will move in LEFT direction X-.

- Whenever you are using your Negative Emotions & Rejecting Faith & Accepting Emptyness, stop thinking about the things you want to know, stop learning, and rejecting knowledge you will move in DOWNWARD direction Y-.

- Whenever you are facing any problems and failed to overcome them, confused by puzzles, mysteries, creating more problems than before you will move in BACKWARD direction Z-.

Page 33: MOTIVATION TIP's FOR EVERYONE - Understanding (2)

Which are the things that Motivate UsThere are plenty of things in life that can motivate an individual person. Basicly, from the needs & wants of a person can be motivating if it was achieved or received without any problems.
