NOTE 1: Finish grade lumber or logs must be loaded to trailers by consignor and unloaded by consignee. Additionally, finish

grade lumber or logs must be loaded to trailers and transported in a manner approved by Carrier's Operations Department.

Finish grade lumber and logs must be placed in watertight stow. The bill of lading must be annotated and the request for

watertight stow noted at the time of booking. If these conditions are not met the load will be refused for shipment. Carrier will

waive the aforementioned conditions if shipper releases Carrier from liability for damages as a result of weather, stack soot, sea

water, or any other outside element. Shipper must annotate the bill of lading to read "No Carrier liability for damage caused by

outdoor exposure."

NMFC shall be considered as one Article.

NOTE 4: Rates shall be considered truckload.

NOTE 5: Rates published in this item will not apply in conjunction with the following articles as described in the

NMFC:

Item 2425 Provisions:

NOTE 1: EXCEPTION TO ITEM 620 AND 884 OF TARIFF STB TOTE 100 SERIES:

Rates provided are in dollars per foot and apply only in shipper provided equipment.

NOTE 2: Animals will be accepted only subject to prior booking arrangements for shipment at owner's risk.

A copy of health certificate must be supplied at time of shipment. Animals will be accepted only under the following

conditions:

Live animals when accepted, are received, kept and carried solely at the shipper's risk of accident, disease or mortality and

without any warrant or undertaking whatsoever by the carrier that the ship is seaworthy, fitted, manned, equipped and

supplied for their reception, carriage and preservation. In case of loss or damage, the carrier shall be entitled to all and the

same rights, immunities, exemptions and limitations as provided for in Section 4, subdivision (2) (a) to (1) inclusive and

(k) to (p) inclusive of the United States Carriage of Goods by Sea Act. In no event shall the carrier be liable for any loss or

damage to such shipments arising or resulting from any cause whatsoever unless due to the fault or neglect in the

navigation or management of the ship. Except as provided above and as may not be inconsistent with the above, such

shipments shall be subject to the terms of the bill of lading.

The carrier, in undertaking to carry livestock, does not undertake to carry the shipper or any of his employees except as

provided in the applicable tariff. The carrier reserves to itself a discretion to permit by private arrangement and as an

accommodation to the shipper and on such terms as the carrier sees fit, the shipper or his employees to go with the ship for

the purpose of feeding, bedding and caring for the livestock and any such arrangement shall not affect in any way the

amount of the charge for the carriage of the livestock, which shall be the same in any case. Consignee must arrange to

receive animals promptly upon delivery. No storage will be permitted.

NOTE 3: Shippers shall supply sufficient feed and bedding (Subject to a maximum of one (1) bale of hay and 10

pounds of grain per each animal) for the voyage and only such quantity will be carried free.

NOTE 4: Shipper must arrange that animals be properly attended at a charge of $1,650 per attendant per voyage.

NOTE 5: Except as specifically provided, rates apply to or from carrier’s terminals. Special equipment required for

the movement of livestock shall be provided by shipper, with shipper to load, consignee to unload.

NOTE 6: Freight charges on shipments of Livestock must be fully prepaid prior to acceptance by Carrier or its agent, unless prior

arrangements have been made and agreed to by Carrier.
