Market leading
Innovative
Customer focused
It all begins with dialogue. KRONE engi-
neers maintain a close relationship with our
customers and distributors. Together they
study markets, trends and needs.
Our designers use advanced computer
technology to design new machines and
simulate their in-field operation on com-
puter screens. This way, they are able to
begin with optimisation as early as in the
design phase.
The next phase is building the prototype,
a task that is entrusted to seasoned
engineers, who assemble the new KRONE
machine in close cooperation with the
designers.
KRONE has been an established brand name in the
farming world for more than a century. What started out
as a small blacksmith shop has developed into a leading
forage specialist. It’s the perfect mix of innovative power,
market leader expertise and close customer relations that
has made our company so successful for all these years.
Our focus on quality and customer care has led to a large
number of impressive and unique selling points.

No computer simulation can replace in-field
testing. That’s why we subject our new
machines to extensive trials in every part of
the world and in all types of conditions to
ensure the numerous test logs reflect the
full spectrum of machine applications.
Quality pays. To produce quality products,
we check and log every possible detail. On
top of that, we call in external inspectors to
carry out unbiased machine checks.
All this hard work pays off – as confirmed
by our customers all over the world. Our
ongoing dialogue and quality assurance
programmes pay off. After all, it is for a rea-
son that KRONE has become a worldwide
synonym for first-class forage technology –
made in Germany.
KRONE – we identify market trends
ahead of time, maintain a close
dialogue with our customers and
spearhead new developments.
Take our disc mowers: Right from the
start, we focused on robust designs
that deliver forage of an unusually
high quality even in the most difficult
conditions. As early as in 1982, we
introduced the fully welded cutterbar
and massive spur gears to drive the
discs. After all, it is our philosophy
to listen to our customers and
implement their demands quickly and
flexibly.

The well-proven satellite gear system is a KRONE development that has proven well all
over the world since 1989. Massive spur gears with up to 66 teeth give positive meshing
and efficient transfer of power down to the last disc. The large-diameter gears rotate at
lower speeds while a larger number of teeth mesh up with the neighbouring gears to pro-
vide quiet running, ultimate efficiency and maximum longevity. The auxiliary gears are
arranged in a forward position and drive one disc each, hence dealing with only minimum
loading. As the discs mount in a very forward position, the blades overlap generously to
achieve absolutely perfect cuts.
Straightforward: Some of the gears just
beneath the discs are mounted excentri-
cally in the housing. These are removed
from above complete with their bearings
whereas the large gears on the main drive
system are removed from the side.

Massive spur gears Efficient driveline
EasyCut – uniquely KRONE
The KRONE EasyCut disc mowers provide cleanest and
most accurate cuts. The enclosed and fully welded cutterbar
operates dependably and leak-free for many years of hard
work. Massive and oil-immersed spur gears ensure quiet
and reliable running in permanent
and peak-load operation.
All EasyCut mowers
feature wide floatation skids,
which protect both the cutterbar
and the turf. All knives feature
the standard quick-change system.

Rugged and absolutely leak-free: KRONE
cutterbars are fully welded by advanced
robot and CNC systems to meet the most
exacting demands and quality standards.
After all, the cutterbar is the heart of every
disc mower.
No inner shoe: The cutterbar is powered
via a right-angle gearbox, which is arran-
ged immediately behind the inner top hat,
a design that ensures blockage-free ope-
ration on the headland and in awkwardly
shaped fields.
Uniform speeds: The direct drive system,
which relies on driveshafts and gearings,
provides positive drive in heavy crop and
at wide working widths. 1,000 rpm gear-
boxes are available as optional extras to
suit a 1,000 rpm pto.
The wedge-shaped cutterbar gives
EasyCut the edge for better cuts –
short in pastures and slightly longer in
long-stemmed field crops. The
wedge-shaped design provides a
greater choice of settings and more
options to deal with difficult conditi-
ons. As another KRONE advantage,
the massive spur gears run in double
bearings, which in turn are spaced
wide apart to withstand high and per-
manent loading. The hardened discs
spin in a massive and thick-walled
mower bed, which offers full protecti-
on from any damage – for complete
peace of mind.

Extra wide and hardenedflotation skids
EasyCut guarantees top-quality cuts
Easy float: Made from hardened steel, the
extra wide skids reduce the ground pres-
sure, protecting both the cutterbar and the
turf. They are bolted to the mower bed for
easy replacement.
Optimum protection: All EasyCut disc
mowers feature impact stops on their
leading edges. Welded between the skids,
they protect the cutterbar from damage
while their special design enhances the
overall cut.
The blade holders can beindividually exchanged
The wedge-shaped EasyCut cutterbar was developed in
decades of mower manufacturing. The success of all
KRONE disc mowers is based on their perfect performance,
unmatched longevity and a host of unique selling points.
EasyCut mowers deliver to customers needs.
Take the quick-change blade system,
which saves time and costs.
High-cutting skids: Depending on set-up,
these skids increase the cutting height by
30 mm or 50 mm and present a good opti-
on where 80 mm and longer stubble is
required.
• • •
9
Unlimited spinning: The kni-
ves are free to spin through
360°. They are hard-wearing
and self-cleaning, well pro-
tected and will not foul with
the knives on the neighbou-
ring discs.
Excellent cut: 112 mm knives mount on
their individual discs in alternate arrange-
ments and give generous overlapping.
Made from high-quality steel, they guaran-
tee a long service life.
Worn blades attachment pins and wear parts are
replaced in pairs. The pins may be substituted with
bolts upon request.
At the heart of high-quality forage is a
perfect and clean cut. A mower is to
deliver cleanest cuts even in difficult
conditions, such as in lodged crops
or on slopes. We have optimised our
cutterbars in many years of field ope-
ration and scientific research. And
proudly present these easy-pulling
KRONE EasyCut disc mowers, featu-
ring wedge-shaped cutterbars, quick-
change blades and crossed disc/bla-
des set-ups to ensure blockage-free
operation.

Uniform ground pressureacross the entire work width
Large pivot rangePerfect ground hugging
Optimum guidanceCleanest cuts
EasyCut Balance centre-of-gravity suspension
Modulating the ground pressure: Ad-
justable coil springs offer a large setting
range to provide quick and perfect adap-
tation to all conditions whilst being easy to
handle.
Beefy jib: The jib suspends and guides the
mower in its centre of gravity. Its special
design allows the unit to pivot through a
large range. The hitch pin is fitted in a
moving ball.
Spreading the load: The parallelogram
linkage absorbs the lateral forces and gui-
des the unit in direction of travel. At the
same time, it helps reduce the load on the
jib and the centre-of-gravity suspension
system.
No side thrustExtremely light pulling
At the heart of high-quality forage is a perfect and clean
cut, which in turn is dependent on the mower design and its
suspension and guidance system. Developed in decades
of disc mower manufacturing, the KRONE EasyCut
centre-of-gravity suspension provides an absolutely
uniform ground pressure across the
entire working width.

Centre-of-gravity suspension and parallel linkage guidance
Reduced side-pulling forces and
reduced ground pressure are the
immediate effects of EasyCut
Balance, which unmistakably reveal
the benefits of this KRONE centre-of-
gravity suspension system. In March
2006, a German agricultural magazi-
ne published a test that compared
two suspension systems - side sus-
pension (KRONE AM 283 CV) and
centre-of-gravity suspension (KRONE
EasyCut Balance 280 CV). The fin-
dings were that the central suspensi-
on concept, i.e. in the centre of
gravity, is clearly superior to a side
suspension concept. Measurably less
side thrust also suggests a reduced
ground pressure in the field.

Strong and straightforward design: The
sturdy headstock withstands the highest
stresses and features a height-adjustable
top link pin and a storage facility to
accommodate the driveshaft on the
parked machine.
Optimal attachment: EasyCut mowers fea-
ture reversible Cat. II or Cat II and III link
arm pins, depending on model. These
allow mower attachment to an offset
position for full exploitation of the entire
cutterbar width.
A unique KRONE design: This impact
damage protection system offers two-fold
protection – both to the total unit and to
the cutterbar and its discs.
Looking for a powerful mower of a 3.00 m work width?
Then the Krone EasyCut 280 and 320 disc mowers with
EasyCut Balance are for you. These machines stand out
for an extremely low power input requirement, maximum
stability as well as superior levels of specification and operator
comfort. Enjoy the peace of mind that comes
from knowing that you
are geared up for the job.
• • •
13
Perfect: As the impact protection system
trips, the mower swings to the rear and
lifts the 'cutting edge' out of work to glide
over the obstacle – a system that provides
maximum protection, in particular in rocky
terrain.
Dependable: The KRONE impact protecti-
on system relies on an adjustable coil
spring, which responds instantly and reli-
ably. The spring pressure, i.e. the tripping
force, is set steplessly to match the cur-
rent conditions.
Long serving: The driveshaft boasts over-
running and friction clutches between the
main gearbox and the mower to provide
maximum protection to the cutterbar, the
universal joints as well as the tractor’s pto.
Buying a KRONE disc mower means
buying experience and expertise.
KRONE is aware of farmers’ needs
and delivers the technology that
enables them to maximise their pro-
fits – EasyCut 280 and 320. These
models boast a host of innovative
features such as the EasyCut Balance
centre-of-gravity suspension, a uni-
que impact damage protection
system, an efficient cutterbar drive
system that relies on driveshafts, a
fully welded and wedge-shaped
cutterbar as well as quick-change
blades. KRONE listens and delivers.

Smooth crop flow: All KRONE disc
mowers without conditioner feature a
cantilevered guard frame that makes for
an unobstructed crop flow and uniform
swath formation.
Easy to maintain: The front section of the
guard folds up for easy cleaning and bla-
des replacement – a compact design that
offers superb accessibility.
Pivoting through a wide angle: Their
Z-type arms give the mowers a large ver-
tical travel (29° up, 20° down) – ideal for
bank and verge mowing.
KRONE is committed to enhance
mower efficiency in any respect.
Clean cuts, low input requirements
and rugged stability are only a few of
many purchase criteria that justify the
investment in a KRONE disc mower.
At home and abroad, KRONE disc
mowers perform successfully in a
wide variety of conditions. New
insights and in-field experience are
constantly implemented into the
EasyCut production processes to
safeguard your success.

15
Useful: Only one single-acting spool is
required to swing the rear-mounted
KRONE EasyCut 280 and 320 mowers
from work position to headland or trans-
port position and vice versa.
Safe road transport: The arm’s low pivot
point on the headstock brings down trans-
port height and increases the ground clea-
rance. So, don’t worry when travelling
underneath trees, bridges and overhangs.
Compact design: The special arm design
and its low pivoting point combined with
the cutterbar gearbox position behind the
inner top provide an extremely narrow
transport width and superb driver comfort.
Continued performance at high out-
put levels requires not only a
powerful machine but also ease of
operation. With this in mind, KRONE
specifies its EasyCut 280 and 320
disc mowers with single-acting rams
that lift and lower the units on the
headland and fold them into trans-
port position. The driveshaft is pro-
tected by a stop to restrict lift height
and the angle of articulation of the
universal joints. At the same time,
headland turns are easier thanks
to a generous ground clearance.
The three-point mounted EasyCut
mowers do not require the link arms
to raise when running over swaths.

Excellent value for money
Hydraulic conversion from transport to work and vice versa: A double acting ram moves
the mower to the desired position. Operation is straightforward and convenient from the
cab via a double acting spool. Their low parking height allows these mowers to move into
a transport position that provides a higher ground clearance.
A thought-through system: The 3.60 m
and 4.00 m EasyCut 360 and 400 mowers
swing to the rear during road transport, a
position that allows easy tractor passage
through low gates.
We listen to our customers and strive to optimise our machines
to meet user demands for wider work widths. EasyCut 360
and 400 offer 3.60 m and 4.00 m working widths to deliver
impressive workrates. At the same time, they boast a low power
input requirement while producing an excellent quality of work
and being extremely easy to handle.

17
Hydraulic impact protection: The double
acting ram that folds the unit into transport
and work position also serves as impact
damage protection system to give these
mowers the best protection they can pos-
sibly get.
Comfortable: A hydraulic ram lifts the
machine on the headland. Linked to the
ram that swings the unit in and out, it also
gives impact damage protection, as it
instantly lifts out the mower when the
break-back system trips.
Flexible: The EasyCut 360 and 400 models
feature central top hats and form two
swaths to avoid tractor wheels running on
the crop. There is the option of replacing
the central top hats by discs to use the
mower in wide spreading applications.
KRONE EasyCut 360 and 400 are
mounted mowers that offer wide work
widths and therefore cost-effective
concepts for added efficiency. They
perform equally well in forage harve-
sting and field extensification, where
they spread or swath the crop, depen-
ding on the overall design and sense
of discs rotation. Features include the
EasyCut Balance centre-of-gravity
suspension system for superior balan-
ce and perfect cuts and the hydraulic
impact damage protection system,
which offers two-fold protection in
that the machine breaks back to the
rear and lifts out of work when hitting
an obstacle.

Two in one: Cutterbar and conditioner
share the same gearbox, which also
integrates the two-speed mechanical CV
conditioner gearbox (600 rpm and
900 rpm).
Full-width conditioning: The CV steel-tine
conditioner covers the entire work width
from the inner to the outer hat to provide
absolutely uniform conditioning across
the entire working width.
V-type pivoting steel tines and a stepless-
ly adjustable baffle plate provide uniform
crop treatment, reduce machine wear and
optimise adaptation to crop conditions.

Massive 640 mm tine rotor
Adjustable wide-distributinghood
110° angle reduces transport height and enhances driver comfort
EasyCut 280 CV-Q 320 CV-QFeaturing CV steel tine conditioner for top-quality forage
Efficiency is one parameter in hay and forage harvesting,
quality is another. The high-performance KRONE CV
conditioner with V-type steel tines evenly conditions
the crop across the full working width
to speed up wilting, reduce
field traffic and produce
top-quality forage.
• • •
19
Stepless baffle plate adjustment: This
crank provides convenient control of tine /
baffle plate clearance and hence conditio-
ning intensity. The narrower the clearance,
the more intensive the conditioning.
High efficiency for high-quality forage: For
high capacity, continuous crop flow and
superior conditioning, the conditioner
rotor boasts a 64 cm diameter for truly
high performance.
Swathing wide and narrow: All EasyCut CV
conditioner mowers feature outer guide
plates, which swing in and out of position
to adjust swath width to requirement.
The V-type steel tines in combination
with the baffle plate condition the
crop at optimal intensity and without
damaging the crop structure.
Operators can set the swath width to
tractor track width and tyre size and
avoid tractor wheels running on the
cut forage. This option offers great
benefits on boggy terrain, where the
mat is at risk of getting caked to the
ground.
• • •
20
Full-width conditioning: Specified with V-type steel tines and baffle plate, the conditioner
spans the entire work width – from the left to the right top hat. The goal is a uniform crop
flow across the entire work width and best conditioning results. Optional guide plates are
available for wide spreading and even faster conditioning.
Full flexibility: The optional guide plates
that are fitted for wide spreading feature a
pin/hole setting system to adjust to requi-
rement. Choose between narrow swat-
hing in wet and boggy terrain and wide
spreading, if fast wilting is the priority.
Scientific research has shown that
wide spreading significantly enhan-
ces the fermentation process and the
quality of feed. Accordingly, the wide-
distributing hood not only spreads the
crop across a wide area, it also pro-
duces light and fluffy swaths that eli-
minate one tedding pass at least and
lead to higher milk production whilst
reducing the requirement for feed
additives.
Wide spreading or narrow swathing – as required

Quick and easy: Upon arrival on the
headland, the machine is lifted out of work
by two single-acting rams. The tractor link
arms do not move.
Transport/work changes: A double-acting
ram folds the machine to the 110° trans-
port position and actively lowers it back
into work.
Low transport height: Thanks to its low
pivot point on the headstock, the Z-type
arm is able to fold even a 3.14 mm
EasyCut model sideways into the vertical
transport position.
The conditioners on the three-point
mounted EasyCut CV and CRi
mowers lead to a higher machine
weight. Therefore, to get ready for
transport these models swing into a
110° position behind the tractor,
which shifts their weight to middle of
the tractor axle and distributes it more
evenly to both link arms to give the
tractor a better ride when travelling at
speed, through bends and on the
slope. Moreover, this transport positi-
on offers the operator an unobstruc-
ted rear view from the right mirror.

Separate roller drive for high throughputs
Chevron profiled rollers for a firm grip on the crop
EasyCut 280 CRi-QRoller conditioner mower puts firm grip on crops
Full-width conditioning: The full-width CRi rollers ensure uniform conditioning across the
entire work width. Thanks to stepless adjustment of roller clearance and pressure, the
system easily adjusts to the current crop yield and variety. The polyurethane coating gives
lasting resistance to abrasion and wear.
250 mm diameter: The massive CRi rollers
ensure smooth and unobstructed crop
flow whilst requiring only a low power
input.
Delicate and broad-leaved crops as leguminosae are
best conditioned by the interlocking KRONE CRi roller
conditioner, which features two chevron profiled rotors.
This conditioner is typically operated in Lucerne,
where it ensures gentle treatment of the
delicate leaves whilst crimping
the stems to ensure
faster and more uniform
wilting.
25 cm Ø !
• • •
23
Firm grip on crops: The large-diameter
chevron profiled conditioner rollers inter-
lock to crimp, rub and crush the crop at
great intensity.
Positive drive: The roller conditioner
system boasts a direct and slip-free gear-
driven drive system. The bottom roller
drive is integrated in the cutterbar gearbox
behind the inner top hat.
Two rollers, two drives: The top roller, too,
is actively driven by a separate gearbox on
the right end of the cutterbar and is
synchronised by the bottom roller.
Leguminosae and herbs require a dif-
ferent type of conditioning than crops
that are predominantly grass. Pro-
viding gentle treatment to leafy crops,
the CRi roller conditioner leads to less
fragmentation than a tined rotor, leav-
ing the delicate leaves intact that are
so rich in valuable protein to safegu-
ard the value of farm-grown feedstuff.
Spreading the crops wide, the system
also makes for faster wilting. This
optional CRi conditioner version com-
plements the KRONE mower range to
meet all farming needs.

Excellent swathing on the slope
Quick-change blades
EasyCut 28 MThe specialist on the slope
Stripping the new front-mounted KRONE EasyCut 28 M mower off its flexible guards
reveals that it, too, features the wedge-shaped and fully welded cutterbar, which sus-
pends behind the hats – an ideal design to ensure uniform crop flow. Quick-change bla-
des are standard specification. The foldable extensions bring transport width down to
narrow 2.57 metres for easy travel on narrow lanes.
Two top hats for mountain swathing: Two
top hats out on the cutterbar ends feed
the crop to the middle of the machine for
central swathing and ensure a uniform
crop flow in slope operation.
Mountain farming is a challenge to both man and machine.
The front-mounted KRONE EasyCut 28 M disc mower is the
ideal machine to take up the challenge. Its compact design
brings the machine’s centre of gravity close to the tractor.
Performing perfectly on steep hills and
providing easy attachment to
light and compact mountain
tractors, the 2.71 m
EasyCut 28 M attracts
great interest from
growers who farm
mountain land.
Low dead weight
• • •
25
Special conditions require special soluti-
ons: EasyCut 28 M features special guide
plates and a flexible guard in the middle of
the unit. This specification is the secret
behind the machine’s ability to form uni-
form swaths across steep slopes.
Constant-velocity and high-power driveli-
ne: Power flows through a direct driveline
of pto shafts and gears, which transfers
the tractor’s pto power efficiently and wit-
hout frictional losses to the cutterbar.
Standard EasyCut Balance: This standard
specification combined with a large 30 cm
vertical travel on either machine end gua-
rantees clean cuts in undulating terrain
and leaves an undamaged turf.
Successful forage harvesting in
mountain fields not only requires
skilled operators but also bespoke
systems. KRONE EasyCut 28 M is the
specialist mower that caters for ope-
rations on steep and undulating
ground. The front-mounted mower
features the KRONE pushing suspen-
sion system, which gives EasyCut
28 M generous vertical travel to follow
every ground contour. The discs and
hats spin inwards to the middle of the
machine, with the outer hats also pro-
viding feeding functions to continu-
ously transfer the crop to the rear for
swathing.

Pivoting headstock
EasyCut Balancecentre-of-gravity suspension
Excellent ground following –in either direction
EasyCut Balance centre-of-gravity sus-
pension: The EasyCut 28 P and 32 P are
suspended in their centre of gravity rather
than in the middle of the unit. The design
distributes the pressure evenly across the
entire work width to produce cleanest
cuts.
Perfect ground following: EasyCut 28 P
and 32 P feature pivoting headstocks that
allow for ca. 40 cm side travel for easy
floating over any terrain. The models also
feature adjustable brakes, which align the
machine horizontally during road transport
and headland turns.
Ground hugging: The pushing suspension
design provides generous vertical travel
and combines with long skids and a teles-
coping top link to provide optimum ground
hugging and cleanest cuts.
The front-mounted KRONE EasyCut 28 P and 32 P
disc mowers with EasyCut Balance centre-of-gravity
suspension offer easy handling, straightforward designs
and superior functionality. Thanks to a pushing
suspension system, they benefit from a low
dead weight, large vertical travel and
compact build to suit compact tractors.
Besides, they feature top hats
that ensure a smooth crop flow
and excellent swathing.
EasyCut 28 P 32 PCompact system – perfect guidance
• • •
27
Excellent guidance: The large contact area
provides excellent guidance and adap-
tation to ground contours, even in difficult
terrain. The low ground pressure makes
floating even easier.
A perfect system: Adjust the ground
pressure conveniently to requirements by
setting pins and chains to alter the spring
tension.
The optional telescoping top link.enhan-
ces the ability to follow ground undulations
in direction of travel as well as cutting
height control for a more uniform re-
growth.
The production of high-qua-
lity and farm-grown forage
requires the proper machi-
nery, which cuts the crop
without risk of contaminati-
on that impairs the quality
of the feed. Uniform cutting
heights lead to a faster and
more uniform re-growth.
Besides, the EasyCut 28 P
and 32 P models with pivo-
ting headstock and centre-
of-gravity suspension ensu-
re excellent protection of
the turf.
The KRONE EasyCut front-mounted
mowers do not exceed the 3 m transport
width and require no special approval for
transport on public roads.

Driven top hats
Swathing the crop betweenthe tractor wheels
Continuous crop flow
Massive spur gears
EasyCut 28 P 32 PThe secret of perfect swaths – driven top hats
Perfect cuts, smooth running: All drive components are oil-immersed, with massive spur
gears operating in the main gearbox for smooth running and an efficient power transfer.
The smaller auxiliary spur gears drive only one disc each. The gears that drive the top
hats are powered by the spur gears in the main gearbox.
Direct drive system: The front-mounted
EasyCut 28 P / 32 P mowers feature direct
drives, where the power flows down four
belts to a right-angle gearbox and on
through the top hat to the discs. The over-
running clutch is integrated in the drives-
haft as a standard.
The front-mounted KRONE EasyCut 28 P and 32 P disc
mowers feature two or four top hats, which mount behind the
discs on either end of the cutterbar. Driven from within the
cutterbar, these provide a continuous crop flow to the centre
of the machine so that the tractor wheels will
not run on the crop but next to the
swath for the harvester to easily
pick up the material
without losses.

automatically tensions four belts. The low-
maintenance and positive-drive system is
a further contribution to perfect cuts.
Smoothest crop flow: All discs on EasyCut 28 P and 32 P spin inwards to continuously
feed the material to the centre of the machine for swathing. The cutterbar driven top hats
form the crop flow and, boasting an enormous feed capacity, they assist in forming per-
fect swaths on the slope. The front-mounted KRONE disc mowers deliver smooth and
blockage-free operation.
Front-mounted KRONE disc mowers
have proven well both in solo opera-
tion and in combination with rear-
mounted units. More than that, they
also form a perfect team with the
forage wagon for daily harvests of
fresh forage. Presenting light and
luffy swaths between the tractor
wheels, EasyCut 28 P and 32 P produce uncontaminated forage that is picked up without los-
ses. Requiring only little input power, the front-mounted KRONE disc mowers present an
interesting option to farmers who rely on a forage wagon based system.

Full-width conditioning: Specified with V-type steel tines and baffle plate, the conditioner
spans the entire work width. The goal is a uniform crop flow across the entire work width
and optimum conditioning results. Additional guide plates are fitted for wide spreading
and faster conditioning. The integrated mechanical gearbox offers two CV rotor speeds
(600rpm and 900rpm).
The perfect match: Krone offers adapters
to fit into rigid lower link arms and a teles-
coping top link extension, which enable
transverse ground tracking.
Cutting and conditioning in one pass, the KRONE
EasyCut 28 CV and 32 CV front-mounted mowers
with steel-tine conditioners and
EasyCut 32 CRi with roller
conditioner are specialist
machines that cater for
professional operations.
The roller conditioner with
its interlocking rollers has
proven exceptionally well in
broad leaved crops such as Lucerne.

The CRi system: Chevron profiled and full-
width 25 cm diameter conditioner rollers
ensure uniform conditioning across the
entire working width. Roller clearance,
contact pressure and swathing plates
adjust steplessly.
Positive drive: The gearbox-driven condi-
tioning rollers feature hard-wearing
polyurethane coating. The bottom roller
gearbox forms an integral part of the cut-
terbar drive system while the top roller is
driven by a gearing on the bottom roller.
Modulated conditioning: The operator
conveniently controls the top roller pressu-
re via set springs to adjust roller clearance
to current crop yields.
The integral V-type steel tine condi-
tioners and roller conditioners provi-
de excellent crop conditioning, which
results in fast and uniform wilting and
therefore top-quality forage. To boost
workrates, many operators combine
these front-mounted versions with
rear-mounted units, such as EasyCut
320 CV to achieve 6.20 m working
widths or EasyCut 9140 CV to achie-
ve 8.70 m work widths. Optional
deflector plates are available to
speed up the wilting process even
further.

Compact, straightforward and sturdy: The
three-point headstock features impact
damage protection and two rams that lift
out the mowers. The suspension arms are
mounted to a unique and straightforward
concept, which results in easy operation.
EasyCut Balance: The centre-of-gravity
suspension system guarantees a uniform
ground pressure across the entire work
width, easy pulling, great ground contour
hugging as well as a large pivot range.
Optimum ground pressure through
adjustable springs: Adjustable coil
springs provide optimum adaptation to
any condition. There is no scuffing and
the mower pulls more easily. The spring
tension is set on turnbuckles.

Patented suspension balancing system:
This patented system distributes the
ground pressure evenly on both mowers
to guarantee cleanest cuts also in rough
terrain.
The driveline: Mounted centrally on the
main frame, the main gearbox sends the
tractor power down straight drivelines,
which feature integral friction clutches and
overrunning clutches to protect mower
and tractor from overload. Required pto
speed is 1,000 rpm.
Generous overlapping: Operating in com-
bination with EasyCut 32, 32 CV or 32 CRi,
KRONE rear-mounted mowers provide
generous overlapping to ensure no stripes
are missed. A hydraulic ram is available for
the tractor link arms to offset the mowers
in steep hill operations.
KRONE mower combinations tick all
boxes – wide working widths, an
enormous efficiency, light weight, low
input requirement for this class and
suited for the existing tractor. While
the front-mounted mower eliminates
tractor wheelings in standing crops
the overall setup allows mowing in up
and down operation. The side wings
fold up within seconds for swift
moves from one field to the next.

Adjust to conditions: These mowers fea-
ture a coil spring that sets the tripping
force of the impact damage protection
system so this triggers within seconds
upon impact.
Exemplary: This uncluttered operator box
controls transport or work position
changes as well as separate or joint
lift/lower of the rear units. In addition, it
controls the respective solenoid valves.
Top-quality forage: The full-width and
high-performance conditioner features
pivoting V-type steel tines and steplessly
adjustable baffle plates. Steel tines are
extremely hard-wearing and lasting.
Safety is another important area of
excellence. For example, EasyCut
9140 pivots through a 1.40 m arc as
the entire mower rather than just the
cutterbar breaks back upon impact.
Once the obstacle is passed, the unit
returns automatically into its working
position.
Impact damage protection is the standard

One, two or three mowers — any combi-
nation will go: “Idle“ units remain in ’head-
land position’ until the wedge or awkward-
ly shaped plot is cut.
Compact mobility: A narrow 3.00 m trans-
port width and less than a 4.00 m trans-
port height make for safe travel on busy
public roads. The operator enjoys full visi-
bility while close tractor attachment allows
travelling at swift speeds.
Road safety: The machines feature large
warning panels and lighting kits as stan-
dard specification for safe travel on public
roads and lanes. No way to not see this
combination.
KRONE mower combinations are
finely-tuned and scientifically thought
through to offer operators the specifi-
cation and comfort they deserve. For
example, they provide the flexibility to
cut awkward areas with one, two or
three mowers. Like all CV conditioner
mowers, the EasyCut 9140 CV com-
bination features a 600/1,000 rpm
mechanical gearbox to vary conditio-
ner rotor speed. Optional guide plates
are available to allow wide spreading
and faster wilting. KRONE mower
combinations are specialist machines
that are committed to quality and
delivery.

Automatic conveyor shut-off/on during lift and lower
EasyCut 9140 CV Collect with cross conveyorsThree into one or two will go!
Firm grip on the crop: Nothing is left
behind when the hydraulic cross convey-
ors start moving. These wide belts feature
welded slats to feed huge masses of
material in a smooth and continued flow to
the centre of the machine.
Powerful hydromotors and infinitely varia-
ble conveyor speeds allow setting swath
widths to the requirement of the following
harvester. The motor automatically shuts
off as the belts lift out and back on when
they lower back into work.
Separate hydraulic system: Oil supply to
the cross conveyor comes from a separa-
te oil reservoir, which gives independence
from the tractor’s hydraulic system. An oil
cooler protects the system from over-
heating.
The demands on a machine vary as the setting changes
in which it is operated. Accordingly, KRONE delivers
EasyCut 9140 CV in a choice of different specifications
that cater for different
local conditions.
These options include
the hydraulic cross
conveyors, which feed the
crop to the middle of the machine.
KRONE delivers to farmers’ needs.

Nothing is left behind: CV mower conditio-
ners that are specified with cross convey-
ors feature solid V-type steel tines and a
steel tray underneath the rotor, which
collects every single haulm.
Operator box: The uncluttered operator
box controls mower and conveyor
lift/lower functions as well as conveyor
speeds, for which the system relies on a
potentiometer.
Great flexibility: If the priority is spreading
rather than swathing, simply swing the two
conveyors out of the crop flow – hydrauli-
cally and conveniently from the tractor
seat. Wide spreading leads to faster and
more uniform wilting.
Cross conveyors boost efficiency.
This specification is particularly bene-
ficial in operations that do without
swathing, turning and tedding.
Feeding the crop to the centre of the
machine for swathing, the belts have
proven equally well in hay and wet
silage, where they enable easy pick-
up by the following harvester. A triple
mower system that uses only one
cross conveyor in up-and-down ope-
ration will produce four swaths from a
total working width of 17.40 m. These
four swaths total up to 11.50 m and
are ideal for further wilting and swat-
hing by a central four-rotor swather in
one pass.
