MoUs signed by SGGS IE&T Nanded (AY 2018-19 up to 12-Feb-2019)

1. CMIA-MAGIC (Chamber of Marathwada Industries and Agriculture- Marathwada Accelerator for Growth & Incubation Council), Aurangabad

A MoU with CMIA, Aurangabad was signed on 6th February 2019 in CMIA office Aurangabad under Marathwada Accelerator for Growth & Incubation Council (MAGIC). This will help connect our institute to the industry for benefit of the students and faculty. Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) & launched its Business Incubator & Accelerator for supporting Startups & SME’s to Accelerate. This Business Incubator has got recognition of Maharashtra State Innovation Society (MSInS) of Govt of Maharashtra. For last 3 years this Business Incubator is in operation has conducted many programs & workshops for building Start-up Ecosystem in the region and now incubating 5 Startups. Objective of this MoU are: Promoting Innovation, Promoting Startup Eco-system in Marathwada Region, and Mentoring and Nurturing Stratups. Honorable Chairman Mr. Sunil Raithatta with Dean Industry Liaison Dr. Suhas S. Gajre are instrumental in the process of MoU. Mr. Mahesh D. Shivankar, Jt. Director Regional office DTE, Aurangabad was present in the function. Activities envisaged include conduct of Design thinking workshops, Promoting Entrepreneurship amongst students, project internships, job opportunities etc.

2. NIMA (Nashik Industries and Manufacturers Association, Nashik) A MoU between NIMA, Nashik was signed on 5th February 2019 at Nashik. This will help connect our institute to the industry for benefit of the students and faculty. Mr. Rajesh Pusadkar, Vice President of SGGS Alumni association along with SEAA Nashik Chapter have been instrumental in signing this MoU. Dr. Suhas S.Gajre, took the lead in the process of MoU. Students internships, projects and soft skill training and employability enhancement are the main objectives of this MoU. A help desk for Startups is setup with support of SGGS has been created in NIMA with floating space provided by NIMA.

3. Chipspirit, Banglore A MoU with ChipSpirit, banglore was signed on 2nd Feb 2019 in the field of VLSI Design. To provide industry relevant training to UG/PG students, internships, and projects is the main objective of the MoU. Chipspirit Banglore is a new startup company formed by Mr. Mohan Jindal and Mr. Ritesh Kumar. Both are connected to SGGS through alumnus Mr. Shivraj Dharne (1991 B E. Electronics) working at a senior Position in Intel, Banglore. Dr. Gajre and Dr. Kokare were instrumental in signing this MoU.

4. Hydro-Envi Pvt. Ltd. (Incubator)

MoU was signed on 27/11/2018 in the area of Civil, Water and Environmental Engineering with Hydro-Envi Pvt. Ltd. (proposed name), which is an incubator set up by our alumni. Mr. Laxmikant Bhosikar and Mr. Nikhil Deshmukh, both alumni of SGGSIE&T, Nanded will work on consultancy projects and industry relevant projects/problems, students internships. Dr. Upendra Kulkarni, Former Faculty, and Department of Civil Engineering took lead in the process of MoU.

5 Solace Cogen (P) Ltd. Mumbai

A MoU was signed on 19.11.2018 in the area of economic development of community (renewable energy). Mr. Sanjay Ingale, Secretary, Udyog Mantralaya, Maharashtra State, Mumbai and Mr. Mahesh Rane, MD, Solace Cogen interacted with Dr. Arun Patil (Faculty of SGGS) for the MoU. MoU is aimed at research and development for the Mega Project sanctioned by Udyog Mantralaya in Nanded MIDC (Krishnur). Development of solar thermal energy related products is the focus. Through MoU, a lab will be established at SGGS IE&T Nanded with equipment given by Solace Co gen. SGGS Will provide the Laboratory space (Thermal Laboratory). It will give opportunity to students working in the areas of Solar Thermal for internships, projects and jobs. Dr. Manik Rodge Head Mechanical Engineering will be the SPOC from SGGS IE&T Nanded for this MoU.

6 John Deere India Private Ltd. Pune

MoU was signed on 25/10/2018 in the area of image processing technology. To work on industry relevant projects/problems, students’ internships, in the area of signal and Image processing. Dr. Manesh Kokare, Head of Electronics and Telecommunications and Coordinator Centre of Excellence in Signal and Image processing took lead in the process of MoU.

7 Indus Aviation Systems LLP Pune

A MoU with Indus Aviation Systems LLP, signed on 15.10.2018 in the area of Field aviation Software and Satellite communication. Mr. Atul Joshi, SGGS Alumnus is the MD of Indus aviation, Pune. Dr. S. S. Gajre and Dr. M. B. Kokare took lead in the process of MoU. This MoU will provide opportunities for internships, Projects and Jobs for UG/PG students of the institute. Indus Aviation will also setup a development unit in the incubation Center of the Institute, where in-house developments for students’ projects can be carried out.
