• District Librarians trained on 23 things.– Based on Ms. Bower’s 43 things.

• Web 2.0 is the software application movement.

How do you get started?

• Get your principals support.• Create a Wiki for posting the assignment.– http://crownovermsweb20.wikispaces.com/

• Create a Ning for comments and collaboration.– http://rcms5things.ning.com/ must be invited but

you can create your own here

What 5 things did we choose?• Underlaying- (Ning, Wiki, Avatars)• Google- (Google Lit Trips, Google Sky, Google Math,

Google Earth)• Teacher Tube- (what did you search for, what did you

find, how can you use it in the classroom)• Blogs- (Create your own classroom ,How can

students use blogs in your classroom?• District Links- Cool Tools, Science Tube--collection of

district science classroom videos• National Educational Technology Standards (NETS)

Was it Successful?• Only 2 teachers did not participate.• Every teacher had a blog.• Lots of praises and comments.
