    If you want to use H!I or /#IF and ad*ust the framerate of the video to the T" freuency, you must reencode the

    audio in %( with -eclock. This reuires to decode the audio, send it to -eclock which will a*ust audio on the new

    video framerate and then encode the audio in %( in order to send it via H!I or /#IF. The audio is decoded and

    reencoded to %( so there is a loss of uality and you can't &enefit from TrueH, T and TH.

    Installation

    @e are going to create % directoriesto have % se&arate MPC-HC installations, one for headphones and/or stereo

    speakers )!#(H(tereo+ and the other for the amplifier )!#(H(urround+. >f course, you can choose to install

    only one !#(H( according to your hardware.

    (reate a MPC-HC-Stereodirectory and another one MPC-HC-Surroundwhere you want on your hard drive )eg.

    (0B!#(H(B!#(H(tereo+. In these directories extract the archive of !#(H( that you have downloaded.

    For MPC-HC-Stereoyou have to rename the executa&le m&c-hc'e(eto m&c-hc-stereo'e(e.

    @e will create a shortcut on the desktop &y right clicking on the executa&le of !#(H( )mpchc.exe and mpchc

    stereo.exe+ and clicking on C(reate hortcutC. Then *ust cut / paste on the desktop the shortcuts created. !#(H( may

    reuire to &e launched as administrator, so right click on the shortcuts and then C#ropertiesC, C%dvancedC and select

    C>pen as administratorC.

    4ow let's move on !#(H( configuration. @e will only configure !#(H(urround and we will simply copy thesettings file mpchcsurround.ini which is going to &e created at the end of the configuration in the !#(H(urround

    directory and paste it into !#(H(tereo directory.

    -emem&er to click on A&&l$)Appliqueron the screen &ecause I use a french @indows+ each time you configure a

    part.

    Please note that if you are in analog or HDMI PCM to enjoy DTS-HD it will require that you install TotalMedia

    Theater and you copy in the directory A!"ilters inside MPC-HC-Surround and MPC-HC-Stereo the dll

    Shaders

    I suggest you to using shaders only if you run out of (#1 power or if you are in A"%. If your #( is powerful

    enough use the avisynth scripts or ffdshow filters.

    3ou have the possi&lity to improve the image &y highlight the details with the Shar&en Com&le( %shader.

    Activate a Shader

    There are two ways to use the shaders, either activate shaders &efore resi;ing )C%ctive preresi;e shadersC+, or activate

    them after the resi;ing )C%ctive postresi;e shadersC+. 3ou choose in function of shaders. Eg. for shader Charpen

    (omplex 5C it must &e ena&led after resi;ing &y clicking on it and clicking on Add to &ost-resie.

    Add a Shader

    If you want to add a shader you have to create a text file, with notepad for example, with the extension 'hlsl, write your

    shader or copy / paste a shader like the C$ammaC shader *ust &elow and save the file. Then click on Add shader

    3ou use avisynth and in this case you do resi;e with it. The scaling with avisynth is that which gives the &est uality.

    Second possibility

    1se the filter C-esi;eC of ffdshow and multiply &y .9 the resolution of the video. This is a good compromise &ecause

    it allows you to apply the CsharpenC in a resolution not too far from the original. It demands a relatively powerful
