y = 5x - 3
The equation is in the form
y = mx + b. So, the slope
(m) of the line is 5, and the
y-intercept is -3.
3x - 3y = 12You have to rewrite the equation in slope-intercept form by solving for y.
3x - 3y = 12-3x -3x
-3y = -3x + 12-3 -3 -3
y = 1x - 4So, the slope (m) of the line is
1, and the y-intercept is -4.
