Team Details:
Maroons Soccer Club is seeking players for our U16 Boys team. This program is focused on advancing each player’s technical and tactical abilities. Key focus will be developing each player’s ability to play high-‐touch, intelligent, possession-‐style soccer.
Game day roster size will be limited to a maximum of 18 players. If more than 18 players are selected for training, the more talented and committed players will be selected for the game day roster. Players are expected to attend each training session. Full commitment is especially important so the players can quickly solidify the team, build cohesiveness and team understanding, and be prepared for league and tournament play.
This team will have outdoor training sessions as weather and field conditions permit throughout the winter. Players are also expected to participate in winter futsal to be held one night per week in a Ridgewood School gym. Team Management:
Team is trained and coached by Eric Beiter (former HS Varsity Coach), Mike Cobb (NSCAA Advanced National Diploma) and Matt Myers (Maroons SC Director of Coaching and NSCAA National Diploma). Each Coach involved with the team will leverage personal playing experience with proven coaching techniques geared toward improving and advancing the technical and tactical abilities of the competitive high school and college level player.
