SPOT ADMISSION for M.Tech. 2013

Spot admission for the vacant seats in various M.Tech. programmes at National Institute of

Technology, Tiruchirappalli, for the academic year 2013-14, will be held as per the following

schedule:

Registration Time Online Registration Starts at 8:00 p.m. on 27.07.2013

and closes at 8:00 a.m. on 29.07.2013

Eligibility:

Those who have secured atleast 60% marks / CGPA of 6.5 in the qualifying degree (55% marks

/ CGPA of 6.0 in case of SC/ST candidates) with a valid GATE score (2012 or 2013) and

registered ONLINE for the CCMT-2013 process (organized by MNIT, Jaipur) for M.Tech.

Admissions with the following categories are only eligible:

(i) Candidates who have not been allotted any seat in any of the Four rounds in CCMT-2013

process

or

(ii) Candidates who were allotted seat in any of the Four rounds in CCMT-2013 process and

have not taken admission at the allotted NIT

or

(iii) Candidates who were allotted seat and admitted at any of the CCMT-2013 participating

Institutes and then cancelled the seat

Note : Those who have taken admission already through CCMT-2013 process and wish to

participate in the Spot Admission have to cancel their admission before appearing for Spot

Admission.

Registration for Spot Admission : The eligible candidates should register for Spot

Admission through ONLINE portal before 8:00 a.m. on 29.07.2013. Such online registered

candidates (registered during 27.07.2013 to 29.07.2013) only will be considered for Spot

Admission. After successful completion of registration, a printable (pdf) version of Spot

Admission Registration Form will be generated. Candidates who are registered will have to

personally report to National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli at 9:30 a.m. on 30.07.2013

along-with printout of their Spot Admission Registration Form.

Selection Process: Eligibility requirements and Seat allotment procedure will be as per CCMT-

2013 procedure.

Original Documents

In case a candidate gets a seat, he/she has to pay the institute fee and produce the following

documents in original for verification, failing which his/her seat allotment will be cancelled and

that seat will be allotted to the next registered candidate in the list.

(i) Photo id proof of candidate

(ii) Printout of the Spot Registration Form

(iii)Transfer Certificate issued from the institute last attended

(iv) Migration Certificate

(v) GATE score card (2012/ 2013)

(vi) Statement of marks or Grades obtained in the qualifying Examination

(vii)Degree / Provisional Certificate.

(viii) Course completion certificate for result awaiting candidates

(ix) Class X (High School) Board Certificate as proof of date of birth.

(x) Certificate of category (OBC / SC / ST), if applicable, issued by the competent

authority (OBC certificate must be issued on or after 1.4.2013)

(xi) Certificate for Persons with Disabilities (PWD)

(xii) One set of attested copy of all the documents listed above.

(xiii) Recent colour photographs – 4 Nos. (2 Passport size and 2 stamp size)

Institute fee: The candidate who is allotted seat has to pay the institute fee of Rs.26,300/- for

OC/OBC (Rs.8,800/- for SC/ST), on the same day, in the form of DD drawn in

favour of “The Director, National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli”

payable at Tiruchirappalli.

Hostel Fee: In case, hostel accommodation is required, the candidate has to pay the hostel fee of

Rs.19,700/- in the form of DD drawn in favour of “ The Chief Warden, National

Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli” payable at Tiruchirappalli.

Class work commences immediately after Admissions.

The eligible candidates who have registered through online for Spot

Admission at National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli should

be present in person on 30.07.2013 at 9:30 a.m. for Spot Admission.

Any registered candidate coming after 9:30a.m. will not be considered

for further process.
