DECALS AND WARNINGS
IT IS CALLED A “SCISSOR” LIFT FOR A REASON
Use extreme caution when using anything that might hang off the work platform, or might get caught in the scissor mechanism.
ANOTHER SPECIAL FEATURELets you
work above obstructions or in areas
where pulling close to the wall is not
advantageous
HOW DO I DRIVE THIS THING?
Battery
Gauge
Toggle Switch LEFT for UP/DOWN vertical operation on the Joystick
Toggle Switch RIGHT for FORWARD/BACK driving operation
on the Joystick
The Joystick has: A dead-man-grip
(lift won’t move unless you squeeze with your hand)
A rocker-switch (that turns the wheels left or right)
LOWER (EMERGENCY) CONTROLSLower Controls should be used during the
following situations:•During Pre-Use Inspection of Lift Functions
•By the Spotter ONLY After Given Permission to Operate a Function by the Operator
•By the Spotter To Override the Upper Controls and Gain Access to the Operator in the Event of an Emergency
WHAT DOES THE SPOTTER DO? Spotters walk ahead and around of the
operating lift and pay special attention to the lift route of travel to watch and warn the
operator about:
•Doorways•Blind corners•Low overhead clearances•People approaching from front or rear•Hazards on the floor like power cords or tools
SPOTTERS’ JOB AT DOORWAYS•Automatic doors must be propped or held open long enough to allow the lift to pass through the doorway
•When entering and exiting the elevator, spotter must hold the “Door Open” button open until the lift is fully on or fully off the elevator car.
