I adore my partner Jeff and our wonderful animals, traveling, music festivals, dancing, singing, reading and writing. The future holds many joys, so my motto has always been: “The meaning of life is to live it!”

My book combines an imaginary tour of Ireland that I wrote in the 70s with photographs I took in western Ireland in the early 90s. I will illustrate the ancient symbolic connections that the “Emerald Isle” shares with the four basic elements — Earth, Air, Fire & Water — using prose, historical photos, symbols and original images. This project will be printed by a Sonoma County printer as 8" x 10.5", landscape format on glossy paper with full bleeds and a spiral binding.

I have taken InDesign I, and I have a general knowledge about computers. I have also taken

Photoshop, which I really like. I primarily use a PC, but I like using Macs when I can.

I have lived in Sonoma county all my life, and I love it here. I like working in a group and being

a team player. I would like to some day be a CPA, but I know that it is a hard job to train for.

My book will be a guide for InDesign. I will use the techniques learned in this class for

my content. I will print it spiral bound from Lulu.com.

My computer experience reaches all the way back to about four maybe five years ago when I enrolled in a Photoshop Class and eventu-ally withdrew from the class because I had no computer experience and couldn’t even make a folder. I then enrolled in computer 101’s and ta daaaa....not a GEEK but doing ok now.

I have lived in Petaluma all my life and grew up on a farm. I actually milked cows before and after school. I am now a retired Correctional Counselor and enjoying Photoshop and InDesign.

I am the keeper of quite a few family photo albums and documents and would like to assemble them in a story. There is a street sign with our family name where the farm used to be and my book’s title is some-thing like story behind the sign. The chapters for this book has been difficult and I have decided to start from my dad’s family because they lived on the farm first and ending with my mother standing where the old house was. Printing I don’t know lulu or Office Depot, I need help.

I have a nice understanding on using computers. I am trying to get an Adobe Specialist Certificate and an HTML Certificate at school. I have used both Macs and PC’s, but I prefer and use PC’s at home.

I have been living in Petaluma for as long as I can remem-ber. I am still deciding on my major and am ready to transfer somewhere once I figure it out. I like to play games, watch and play sports, and watch a good comedy at times.

My project is going to be a strategy guide on a game that I like to play from time to time. It can act as your personal guide throughout the game as it reveals secrets, tips, and other tricks to help you get through it all. I would like to print my book locally but I’m still evaluating the options.

I am a cat person, a storyteller, study myths and fairy-tales, an artist from a family of artists and teachers (though I have no intent toward the latter), a creative cook, and an introvert. My favorite holi-day is Halloween, and I love world-building.

My project is a journal of a trader’s travel through a fictional land I desugned to both mock and honor cheesy horror movies, as well as house all the creepy little ideas I come up with that I don’t intend to give a story of their own.

I have used Indesign and Photoshop for about seven years. I use it for both pleasure and work now. I am also good at using internet, microsft o� ce, and many other computer programs. I have recently started tinkering around with taking apart and rebuilding computers. I have lived in Rohnert Park my entire life. 20 years of boredom. I worked on my high school yearbook all four years and currently assist with the jousnalism class. I always strive for my best, and never stop until I � nish what I start. My life motto is, “Your life is an occasion, you must rise to it.” I have fought with myself about what to do for my project and have � nally decided, with help from my mom, to do a “what pet is rihgt for you” book. My journey with computers started about 11 years ago . I was learning Microsoft Office at an adult education

I have a BFA degree in Sculpture and Ceramics, along with a teaching certificate from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA and one in Illustration from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco . I have been an art teacher for both elementary and high school students . My husband and I moved to Santa Rosa last year which meant I had to leave my teaching position . Now I am painting at home, which is the thing I love to do most . I have been doing freelance graphic design work and hope to find a permanent in house position soon .

My book project will be about my husband’s family farm in Olympia, WA . His father passed away last fall and his mother is planning on selling the farm this spring . My Computer experience comes from working as a PC Tech and I am proficient with the PC and I am able to work just fine on the Mac. Along with learning Adobe InDesign this semester, I am learning the Java programming language and Adobe Dreamweaver.

I recently became an iMac convert after using a PC for 20-plus years. I use my iMac for everything except AutoCAD

which is only compatible with my PC (go Autodesk!). The iMac and PC are networked to share files, the internet connection and my All-In-One printer.

After growing up in the midwest and east coast I moved to Sonoma County in 1986 and never left. I have a wonderful

husband, Bob, and a mixed-up terrier named Toby. We can often be found walking in Ragle Park or on Doran Beach.

My project will be a recipe book based on experiences from the West County Dinner Club. I hope to create an

attractive memory book that all of us in the Club can enjoy. If successful, it may be the start of a much larger collection!

experience from the classroom computers in the graphic design program at the SRJC. I’m fairly proficient with general computer knowledge, and my favorite software is definitely Adobe’s Creative Suite!

I have been a Massage Therapist for 10 years, and a full-time student for 2 1⁄₂ years. I am currently pursuing a certificate in graphic design. I am also a parent of two awesome children, ages 14 and 6.

My project will be a book of meditations that will combine my “reflections” on various subjects with graphics I create in Adobe Illustrator. My goal is to not only increase my knowledge of Adobe InDesign, but to also push myself in my illustration and design abilities.

My primary computer experience has been using a PC for work related documents primarily using Word and Excell. Last fall I took the plunge and invested in a Mac laptop and started InDesign 1 at the same time... still figuring it all out.

I live in Napa but commute all over the Bay Area for work. Calligraphy is one of my passions and I hope to be able to use InDesign and other Adobe applications to enhance my calligraphy and artwork for print.

Paris is a city I have visited three times, enjoying it more each time I return. I hope my book will express my love for wandering the City of LIght, exploring neighborhoods, flea markets and museums. I plan to print my book through Office Depot using a colored paper binding.

Up until last year I was a central valley native and have a BA from Itt Tech in Game Design from Latrhop and am in working on two different games with some friends, one for social games, the other for PC’s.

The first computer I ever used was the Macintosh Performa 6205, notably Apple’s “worst road apple ” It was the first of the Power PC

processors by Motorola and it had so many problems that Apple extended the warranty on them for 7 years Considering the current 3 year Apple Care program, that is an indicator of just how bad they were I was forced to learn to troubleshoot which I did, with the help of newsgroups I am PC fluent, and own one, but dislike them for their lack of user friendliness

I now do tech support for Apple’s online help forums, as a hobby and to try to keep up with technology I enjoy troubleshooting and I am

I work as a graphic design intern for Sonoma County Reprographics. I have been trying to expand my computer knowledge in the Adobe Suite by taking multiple classes and hope to receive my certification.

I am 24 and live in Windsor with a few friends. I have lived in the area for about 3 years now but I’m originally from Mariposa, a small town over by Yosemite National Park.

For my project I am going to make a book on my trip to Scotland. It will be kind of a tourist guide/scrapbook. But hopefully with a funny interesting take on it including history, their culture and more. I will be printing through Lulu with a case rap hardcover because I hope this will be something my family will want to keep for a long time and look back on.

I use the Microsoft offi ce suite at work, along with some of the Adobe products. I am currently learn-ing my seventh Adobe program. I use Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier, Acrobat, and I am currently enrolled in Dreamweaver 1 and InDesign 2.

I have lived in Santa Rosa since 2001, it is probably the longest I have lived in one place since I moved to Yosemite National Park in 1986. I love to travel, take pictures, and check out new places.

My project is called Growing Up Maltese, it is about my two dogs Tessie and Tucker and their best friend Bella another Maltese. I will be printing the book through a local printer, the book will be 8.5 X 11 landscape view. It will probably be about 30 pages long with lots of pictures and text.
