Gauteng: Tshwane Implementation of the MOU Steering Committee
Meetings (4.2.1) 1.1 Nominated management and technical persons
participated in all meetings (Tshwane South and North Colleges).
1.2 Two meetings took place: 20 November 2014 and 19 March 2015.
National (Policies, Criteria and Guidelines NAMB) 4.2.2 2.1 Staff
identified per college to participate. 2.2 Identified staff linked
to different trades. 2.3 All policies disseminated and cascaded to
all staff at campuses. 2.4 Structures to be put in place as the
current staff establishment do not cater for this function.

Establishment of Limpopo PADSC MOUs were signed by ALL 7 TVET
Colleges Principals in July 2014. TVET Principals appointed members
to serve in PADSC in writing. The and elected on 23 July 2014.
Chairperson: Mr SJ Molekwa Deputy Chairperson: Ms Machebe The
secretariat of the PADSC is in place. Secretariat: Mr M Mabooa

Limpopo: Progress Monthly meetings were held in 2014 soon after
the establishment of the PADSC. Only one meeting was held in 2015
pending the signing of new MoU by colleges. The PADSC received
induction and training conducted by NAMB. Committee members also
received policies and implementation plans. A baseline assessment
on Artisan Training by Limpopo TVET colleges was conducted. The
state of readiness for TVET colleges to become Trade Test centres
was also conducted. The committee was in the process of developing
the provincial implementation plan which was suspended due to the
current amendments on the MoU.

Limpopo: Way forward and Planned activities Through assistance
of SETAs, TVET Colleges are currently in the process of accrediting
more workshops for artisan training. Once they are accredited they
will then gradually apply for accreditation to become Trade Test
centres. PADSC will coordinate & identify TVET colleges for
specialisation - Avoid duplication of Trade Test centres where
possible.

Freestate 3 HIGHLIGHTS Capacity building workshops held on the
12-13 November 2014 and 19 February 2015. 3 steering committee
meetings held to date. Attended a two day national multi steering
workshop (sharing of good practice). Held a 1 day PADSC working
session at Motheo TVET College Presented functions of the committee
to CD: FETC & AET meeting on the 25 March 2015 (TVET Regional
office meeting)

Freestate Working session discussed the following; The roles
and responsibilities of the PADSC Implementation of the following
policy documents: Criteria and guidelines for appeals complains and
enquiries (committee of 3 elected, chaired by PADSC deputy chair).
Criteria and Guidelines for moderation of Trade Test Centres.
Criteria and guidelines for monitoring performance of accredited
TTC. Challenge raised by committee/colleges: Budget to implement
activities e.g. travelling to centres Persons/officials to conduct
activities above, if external persons who will contract them?

Freestate Implementation of the following activities; Quarterly
reporting to NAMB and the office of the premier. -Colleges are
awaiting a reporting template from CD: NAD -Colleges to report via
CD: FETC & AET office Development of the Action Plan to visit
accredited TTC. -TTC in the province were identified. -Chairperson
to lead the team to visit TTC Preparations for the Artisan
Development Conference (held in January). Regional Skills
Competition in preparation for the World Skills SA competition
