The varicose disease accompanies the man from his beginnings. Nowadays, it is considered to be a medical,social problem, which limits the activity of the individual and which entails an important economicrepercussion, besides all the aesthetic problems that it causes.
The varicose veins constitute the most frequent vascular pathology, which affects 10 % of the adultpopulation in the developed countries, with exception of United States, where it reaches the 40 %.
Among the factors predisposing to the varicose disease: the heredity, the pregnancies, the sex, hormonalfactors, the obesity and the standing professions.
The incidence increases with the increase of the obesity in the population of the developed countries.
La enfermedad varicosa acompaña al hombre desde sus inicios. Actualmente, es considerado un problemamédico, social, que limita la actividad del individuo y que conlleva a una repercusión económica importante,además de los problemas estéticos que ocasiona.
Las varices constituyen la patología vascular más frecuente, que afecta al 10% de la población adulta en lospaíses del primer mundo, con excepción de Estados Unidos, donde tiene una incidencia del 40%.
Entre los factores que predisponen a la enfermedad varicosa se encuentran: la herencia, los embarazos, elsexo, factores hormonales, la obesidad y las profesiones que se desarrollen de pie.
La incidencia aumenta con el aumento de la obesidad en la población de los países desarrollados.

Why 1500nm?
The optical extinction is higher in 1.500nm (from 5 to 9 times major) than in 810nm, 940nm, 980nm, 1.064nmand 1.320nm wavelengths.
The coefficient of absorption for the water is 40 times higher if compared with 810nm, 940nm, and 980nm andvery much higher with 1.320nm wavelength.
Less energy is needed in order to destroy the vein wall.
¿Por qué 1500nm ?:
La extinción óptica es mucho mayor a 1.500nm (de 5 a 9 veces mayor) comparada con 810nm, 940nm, 980nm,1.064nm and 1.320nm.
El coeficiente de absorción por el agua es 40 veces mayor comparado con 810nm, 940nm, 980nm y muchomayor a 1.320nm.
