The Z-FLEX® Multilayer Aluminization (MLA) process uses the latest aerospace thin film deposition technology to apply fine, highly reflective aluminum particles to both sides of a high temperature polymer film barrier. The resulting Z-FLEX® film is then chemically and mechanically bonded to a premium substrate fabric using a proprietary adhesive that is activated with both heat and pressure. The result is a finished fabric with superior bonding which will not delaminate under the most demanding flexing conditions. Test Measure Description

EN 366: 1993 B radiant Heat Measures the material’s ability to reflect radiant energy.

EN 388: 2003 Abrasion & Tear Measures the ability to withstand abrasion and tear when exposed to these forces.

EN 532: 1992 Flame Spread Measures the amount of flame spread and afterglow when exposed to direct flame.

EN 348: 1992 Molten Metal Splash Measures ability to shed and protect against drips from a steel welding rod.

ASTM F955 Molten Metal Splash A more severe molten metal exposure testing the ability to shed a large molten spill (Iron, aluminum and brass).

MIL-C-87076A Wet Flex Measures film bond strength after exposure to a warm soak & 1000 flex cycles.
