Elm Class are lucky enough to have some exciting PE lessons with outside visitors this term: fencing on a Monday and street hockey on a Thursday. We don’t want anyone to miss out so please ensure that your child has their named kit, including suitable footwear, in school every day. If you would like to volunteer to help in school then please see Mrs Radford in the office. We really welcome your help and support. Dear Parents and Carers, Happy New Year and thank you very much for our lovely Christmas cards and gifts! We are very grateful. We hope you have had an enjoyable break and welcome you back to a new term in Elm Class. We have already launched our new topic for this term, which has a science focus, and is called “From Out of the Shadows”. Please see the reverse of this page for a more detailed overview of this topic. Orange objectives in maths relate to Year 5 children only. Homework will continue to be sent home on a Friday and should be brought in the following Wednesday. The new choices for this term’s creative homework can be found in your child’s homework book. It should then be brought into school to share with the class on Tuesday 6 th February 2017. Many thanks for your continued support with this; we saw some excellent and impressive creative homework at the end of last term. This term PE will usually be on a Monday and Thursday. However, we are lucky enough to have some visitors coming into school this term so the children can try a range of different sports. As a result, our PE days may change so please ensure that your child has their named kit, including suitable footwear, in school every day. Finally, thank you very much to those of you who volunteered to help last term, both in class and walking to and from swimming and the carol service. It is very much appreciated and ensures that the children have the best learning opportunities. Kind regards, Mrs S Boyle Elm Class Teacher We look forward to seeing you at the end of this term to discuss your child’s learning on one of the following days: Wednesday 7 th February 2018 or Thursday 8 th February 2018.
