Abrasive sheets are a traditional form of sandpaper. The most common sheets are 230 x 280 mm (9” x 11”). Designed for use in manual operations with a block, or on orbital sanders, they are used in areas that are either inaccessible or inadequate for mechanical sanding applications, mainly on wood sanding, rust, and corrosion removal. Waterproof papers are used for polishing paint, varnish, lacquer, sealers and primers.

Available backup types: waterproof paper, emery cloth, cloth sheets, paper sheets, and lubricated paper sheets. The products are offered with closed lining for aggressive sanding, have a long life, and provide excellent finishes and open coating, which provide excellent sanding with less load.

Sheets

The discs are produced with a strong, vulcanized fiber backing in different diameters. They come with center holes for hanging, or for electric or high-speed grinding tools. The discs are ideal for use on metal surfaces, or for devices that require heavy stock or weld removal, and for intermediate sanding. Using a back cushion is recommended.

Resin Fiber Discs

Abrasive rolls are presented in a wide variety of sizes, on paper or fabric supports.The main benefit of the rolls is to allow end users to cut and use any quantity required for their process, either mechanical or manual.

Rolls

Continuous abrasive sections with extremities joined at various angles, provided in all sizes, from 6 mm (1/4") to 3,430 mm (135"), and from 203 mm (8") to 12 m (13 yd) in

length. To be used on stationary or portable mechanical sanders, such as with back or vertical support, or on horizontal plates and multiple heads, among others. Mainly used where performance and productivity are of utmost importance.

Portable, Narrow, Wide and Segmented Belts

The discs have a paper or cloth backing with a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) or Kwik-Grip®. They are ideal products for low- to medium-pressure grinding, for smoothing and finishing of metal and wood, and they are mainly used on portable mechanical tools. The disks with larger diameters are generally used in stationary

disc sanders to measure and finish metal and wooden pieces, and are mainly used in the flooring industry.

Discs

Made of multiple sheets of sandpaper with a flexible fabric backing and premium aluminum oxide. Joined by a new specialized resin that does not break, thus providing great safety and resistance.

They are suitable for working with stainless steel, metal, plastic, and wood. Designed to work on flat or irregular surfaces such as narrow curves, and for polishing small parts,

leaving the material ready for further processing. Ideal for grille and polishing stainless-steel plates, containers, valves, molds, welds, and pipes.

The right mineral selection is important for improving the productivity of coated abrasives. Although natural abrasive materials were historically important, quality and productivity demands in the manufacturing process have required the extensive use of synthetic minerals, which offer consistent abrasive characteristics.

The ability of the abrasive grain to penetrate the substrate being smoothed down depends largely on the hardness, toughness, and shape of the abrasive. The types of abrasives used in order of hardness are Ceramic Alumina, Silicon Carbide, Zirconia Alumina, Premium Aluminum Oxide, White Aluminum Oxide, Brown Aluminum Oxide and Emery.
