Carrier offers the ideal solution where rooms do not requirecooling at the same time. Multi-split units with sharedcompressors use the full compressor capacity to air conditionboth or either zone. The system optimises energy consumption with considerable savings and without lowering the comfort level.

To satisfy the requirements of those, who need maximumcapacity in all zones simultaneously, Carrier provides multi-split solutions with dedicated compressors. In this mode the system can always supply the highest capacity in any zone and any season.

To maximise the advantages of energy savings, Carrier hasdeveloped the XPower multi-split systems with DC invertertechnology: they offer comfort and excellent performance reducing energy consumption by up to 40%.

A technological heartThe outdoor unit contains the pulsating heart of Carrier'smulti-split technology. Innovative technological solutionsmaximising system performance.High-tech components have led to the development of a unitwith compact dimensions, making installation easier, too.All Carrier condensing units employ environmentallyresponsible technologies such as the high-efficiency non-ozone depleting refrigerant R-410A.

The high efficiency of the Carrier multi-splits is furtherincreased in the XPower systems, the ultimate inverter-technology systems. The XPower air conditioners are equipped with twin-rotarycompressors and electronically controlled by two innovativecontrol systems:• PAM (Pulse Amplitude Modulation) to generate maximum

power at start-up.• PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) to optimise the efficiency
