Storz Couplings. Full Line of Locking Storz Couplings for Double Jacket Woven Hose or Extruded-thru-the-weave nitrile Hydro Flow rubber LDH Supply Line Hose. For Double Jacket, Extruded Aluminum Hardcoat Couplings are used. For Hydro Flow nitrile rubber hose, forged aluminum self-locking couplings with no plastic parts are used. Three-part collars are designed to ensure coupling retention and reduce hang-ups when laying hose in the field.

Maxi-Flex Couplings. Extruded aluminum with new and improved extruded aluminum collars, no plastic parts used.

Adaptors and Appliances. Storz and Threaded Adaptors and Appliances are available upon request. Please call for pricing and availability.

Full-Line of Couplings . Full range of couplings for all fire hose applications from 1” forestry to 6” suction hose is sourced from Red Head Brass Couplings, U.S. Couplings, and Action Couplings. Larger diameter couplings available in standard rocker lug RLF x RLM or optional Long Handle Female (LHF) x Rocker Lug Male (RLM) extruded aluminum. Specialty hose orders such as short sections of soft suction can be customized to have LHF x LHF couplings for supply hose applications.

Hardcoat Aluminum 3-Lug Rocker Lug Couplings. Standard NST or IPT threads are available in 3-lug aluminum rocker lug coupling that is supplied with Municipal and Industrial hose. Hardcoat, anodized aluminum is twice as strong as brass with only one-third the weight. Couplings are designed for extra wear resistance that prevents damage to swivel and threads. Both female swivel and male ends have 3-lugs. Couplings are applied to specified pressures with expansion rings using Red Head or Action coupling machines. Hose and coupling assemblies are tested to pressures exceeding proof test pressures to ensure coupling retention and leakage prevention. Special threads are available upon request.

Booster Hose Couplings. Firequip Booster Hose Couplings are Barway Hardcoated, anodized Aluminum Couplings as the standard. Brass and Chrome Brass couplings are also available to meet individual department preferences or specifications. Brass is recommended for all salt water exposure applications to prevent premature corrosion of couplings. NEW! Zinc plated steel crimped couplings, hydraulic fittings.

Special Services. Stamped or engraved numerical sequencing for coupling coding can be done prior to couplings being anodized or hardcoated.

Adjustable Hydrant Wrench. Made of high-strength ductile steel with handle made of plated alloy steel

Universal Spanner and Hydrant Wrench Set. Tough , durable Almag 35 Aluminum castings. Mounts on apparatus for easy accessibility and quick release. Mounting bracket or base can be purchased separately.

Universal Spanner Wrench. An all-purpose wrench featuring belt hook eye, gas cock shutoff, and claws.

NFPA PRESSURE RATING DEFINITIONSService Test Pressure:

NFPA Standards 1961, current edition, requires an annual hydrostatic test be conducted by purchaser on all in-service (used) hose to determine suitability for continued safe and practical use. The service test pressure is to be 10% greater than the “normal highest operating pressure” at which the hose is expected to be used. Unless otherwise instructed, the service test pressure will be stenciled according to NFPA Standards on all hose following assembly prior to hydrostatic testing and shipment to our end-user fire service. Example: Firequip Double Jacket 800 will be stenciled service test pressure 400 psi on date of assembly and testing.

Proof/Acceptance Test Pressure:

During manufacturing of the hose at the factory, all new hose will be subjected to a “one-time” proof test pressure prior to shipment. The proof test pressure shall not be less than 2 times the specified service test pressure. Example: Firequip DJ800 is a standard Double Jacket hose with EPDM liner with a proof test pressure of 800 psi and a service test pressure of 400 psi.

Burst Test Pressure:

The minimum burst test pressure shall not be less than 3 times the specified test pressure. Example: Firequip DJ800 is a standard Double Jacket hose with EPDM liner with a service test pressure of 400 psi and a burst test pressure of 1200 psi.

Operating/Working Pressure:

Maximum advisable operating/working pressure should not exceed 90% of the service test pressure (stenciled on the hose at time of assembly and testing) or the maximum operating pressure of the attached couplings.

FIREQUIP LIMITED WARRANTY

Firequip Inc. warrants all of its double jacket and nitrile rubber fire hose products (except thermo-polyurethane (TPU) lined hose which has a five-year (5) warranty) to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of ten (10) years from date of original purchase. This warranty shall provide for the repair or replacement of hose and assemblies proven to have failed due to faulty materials or workmanship during normal and reasonable fire ground use, handling and care of fire hose. Our warranty is limited as follows:

A. All returned product must be accompanied by an RGA# (Returned Goods Authorization) issued by Firequip. Unauthorized returns will be refused.

B. All defective products must be returned to Firequip within thirty (30) days of purchasers claim.

C. Products or parts must be found to be defective in materials and workmanship upon examination and testing by Firequip.

D. Total liability is limited to the purchase price of the goods.

E. Products shall not be considered defective or nonconforming if they substantially fulfill performance requirements and are manufacturing in accordance with Firequip’s Specifications.

F. This warranty will not extend to goods which have been subject to misuse, neglect, accident or improper installation, misapplication under conditions not expressly made specifically known to nor approved by Firequip in advance of shipment or which have been repaired or altered outside Firequip’s facility.

FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH ACCEPTED INDUSTRY PRACTICES IN THE APPLICATION OF THESE PRODUCTS, IMPROPER SELECTION OR IMPROPER USE OF THE PRODUCTS AND/OR SYSTEMS DESCRIBED HEREIN OR RELATED ITEMS CAN CAUSE DEATH, PERSONAL INJURY AND/OR PROPERTY DAMAGE.
