Project X Solution(1)• Details of Project X• Impact of proposed upgrade– Front end: no impact – CW linac: depends upon 3GeV program

• Coupler optimization for running 5mA (10% duty cycle) and another possible current (90% duty cycle)

– Pulsed linac: straight forward• More RF power (higher current)• Upgrade power couplers (higher current)• More cryo capacity (longer pulse)

– Conventional facilities: started investigating• More water cooling• More Klystrons (more floor space)
