Brief Description

Murata Power Solutions’ surface-mount power

blocks, combined with ZMDI’s ZSPM1000 true-digital

single-phase PWM controller for non-isolated DC/DC

supplies, enable fast and flexible power design of

smart digital POL solutions.

Reference solutions are available with 25A and 35A

current rating. For each solution a complete

manufacturing kit is available including layout

recommendation, optimized compensation for each

power requirement, performance characteristics, and

others.

Due to the digital technology, the smart POL solution

is easy-to-use and optimized for high-performance

applications requiring reliability and best-in-class

transient performance.

A variety of additional current ratings up to 45A are

planned. Some power blocks of Murata Power

Solutions are still in development and will become

available later this year.

Typical Applications

Servers and Storage

Single-Rail/Single-Phase Supplies for Processors, ASICs, FPGAs, DSPs

Step-Response Performance

The ability to dynamically change the control system response of the digital PWM controller ZSPM1000 leads to a performance not achievable from the competing class of analog controller. This improved transient response will directly lead to, for a comparable transient voltage change, a reduction in the required output capacitance in the range of 40% to 50% leading to cost and size reductions in end user product.
