LAST day of school for Murri School students is (half day) Friday, 6 December, 2019.
Early Departure: As in previous years on our last school day, home time will be earlier than normal. There will be full rehearsals of Speech day class per-formances in the hall in the morning. Students and staff will run through the program a couple of times. Then after morning tea, stu-dents will be allowed to go home sometime between 10.30 and 11.00 a.m. This leaves the afternoon free for everyone to chill and /or prepare for the evening’s Art Display/Sale and Saturday’s Awards’ Ceremony.
Please let me know if you want to receive the school’s news-letter via email. Send your email address to the school’s email mentioned above. Cheers, Aunty Gail
HIGH SCHOOL FORMAL 2019
CONGRATULATIONS to our senior students who are finishing this year. Well done and all the best for the future: Vera Watson, Marnie Cole, Shakira Cloudsley, Sylah Costelloe, Destiny Rowland-Skeen, Rob-ert Christensen, Zac Bonning, Radeyah Lotoaniu and Paul Gibson.
Once again Ms Kim selected an excellent venue in RIVERLIFE at Kangaroo Pt and organized a wonderful night of celebration for the Seniors and their families. Kim says, “I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended the Senior Formal. Your attendance filled the occasion with joy. Our seniors have over-come a lot to get where they are and your attendance makes their celebration even bigger. I want to make special mention of Uncles Nat and Jef-frey for doing all the electrical things. Tanya H, Leonie and Sanita for helping with transport. And of course Uncle Bob, your speech was incredibly truthful, warm and lovely. Thank you to Uncle Cheg for reducing al-most the whole room to tears with your speech. Big-gest thanks!”
WAY TO GO!: Graduates Shakira Cloudsley has
already signed up for a Diploma in Nursing and Marnie Cole has been accepted into university to study surveying.

Year 5 & 6 Christmas Bazaar :
Last Thursday,
Grades 5 and 6
held a fantastic
Christmas Market
in their class-
rooms.
There was deli-
cious food, cards,
gifts, toys, wrap-
ping paper and all
things Christmas-
sy on sale. The
Year 5’s & 6’s
worked very hard
to get everything
ready. Other classes took it in turns to go and
purchase goodies. A delightful time was had by
all. The funds raised from sales were then gener-
ously donated to Aunty Jean’s Christmas appeal.
Aunty Jean's Christmas Appeal
What a wonderful community event combin-ing breakfast from our tuckshop and 98.9 FM radio broadcasting with Jamie Dunn. The public donated generously to Aunty Jean’s appeal for funds to help community members in
need over Christmas.
Acting Principal David commented, “Congratulations to every-one involved with this fundraiser last Friday. The amount of com-munity members in attendance is an awesome reminder of eve-ryone's dedication to the school and wider community and that staff make a difference every day. Special thanks to Aunty Fran
and Aunty Jean.”
Lost Property: Students, Parents / caregivers
p l e a s e come and check the lost property for any item that may have been misplaced. There’s a whole pile of things that children have left behind. As in previous years, any unclaimed items will be donat-ed to charity at the end of this year.
Don’t’ be shame, please reclaim!
