I talian fashion has been at the forefront of design since the beginning of the 20th century. A style that is somewhat unique

and features casual elegance with the use of luxurious fabrics. Shortly After World War II, Italian fashion blossomed to a become the most powerful fashion force on the planet which is our why our museum documents the development since this epidemic of style. Hugo Boss propelled the status and importance of fashion design in the world. Designers Georgio Armani and Dolce and Gabanna capitalized on this frenzy and began designing clothes with the most luxurious materials in the world; tailor made for each customer. Inspiration was not hard to come by as Italy

provides an overwhelming supply of class and elegance in the architecture. Armani has certainly distilled the essence of Italian style into his clothing, but Italy in itself is a country where style reigned supreme long before the advent of today’s mega-designers. Since medieval times and even before, Italians have made it a point to dress with elegance, as is evident from the paintings of the Italian Renaissance period. In the last century, Italian movies, which have had a great influence on Hollywood, showed what sensual style meant to Italians through famous images of Sophia Loren in Ieri, Oggi, Domani and later, Monica Belluci in movies like Malena. The look was well-tailored, respectable, and sensual at the same time.

AFTER OPENING IN NINETEEN FIFTY, THE MUSEO DELLA MODA HAS BECOME PART OF THE MUSEUMS OF FASHION FRANCHISE THAT FOCUS ON VARIOUS DISCIPLINES OF FASHION AROUND THE WORLD. EACH MUSEUM HAS UNIQUE ASPECTS AND ATTRACTIONS THAT ARE TYPICAL TO EACH STYLE THAT IS PORTRAYED.

The opening floor provides a welcoming environment to guests vising any of the museums attractions. The Esclusivo Exhibit provides an instantenous attraction to visitors of the restaurant while they experience some of the museum upon their arrival.

The second floor focuses on four fashion giants. It is an ideal beginning to the museum experience as the traditional styles of Pal Zileri and Canali encourage our customers to venture further through the museum.

The Armani Collection is our most popular attraction in the museum. Its wide variety of brand label display endless amazement for new and returning customers. Loro Piana’s pure textile elegance contributes greatly to maintaining an authentic Italian museum.

The forth floor focus purely on the effect of technology in Italian fashion particularly in accessories from shoes too cuff links.

Shows. The Teatro alla Scala, presents us with unique opportunities to collaborate. Our museum does offer a unique range of competitions for any aspiring designers, local and international, to exhib-it their work and gain some recognition. One of our largest comepeting disciplines for museum space is Accessories and Jewellery. Our representatives lec-ture at local universities and remind their students of the immense success of their Italian fashion suc-cessors, and hopefully can inspire the next Giorgio Armani or Muccia Prada.

THE MUSEO DELLA MODA’S PASSERELLA HAS HOSTED SUCH DESIGNERS AS: DOLCE AND GABANNA, PRADA, GIORGIO ARMANI, LORO PIANNA, GUCCI, ZEGNA, AND IS WILL PLAY HOST TO BILLIONAIRE ITALIAN COUTURE THIS SUMMER FOR THE FIRST TIME.

O ur position in milan allows for various opportunities for special events and cam-paigns to help increase our volumes of visi-

tors through our museum doors. The museum works in tandem with the Milan Fashion Show twice per anum and hosts private exhibits of certain up-and-coming and current local designers. Our runway and dining area is extremely reserved and intimate so is ideal for a private showing. The Museum’s runway provides an idilic atmosphere and hosting environ-ment for events before and after the Milan Fashion

COLLABORATION WITH LA SCALA OPERADELICIOSA RESTAURANT

THE DELICIOSO RESTAURANT

D elizioso has proven over the years that great food with warm service in a pictur-esque setting is the perfect combination

to create long lasting relationships and memories for all. The museum will work in tandem with the Milan Fashion Show and host private exhibits of certain up-and-coming and current designers. Starters include the modified Bouchee de Moules (steamed black West Coast mussels served in a puff pastry case now with a saffron voloute sauce). Other previous favour-ites which have remained are: the traditional Italian peasant dish Panzanella, Tomato Tart (a puff pastry base with Fontina cheese, Dijon mustard, fresh basil and tomato’s garnished with spring onions), and the very fresh, extremely tasty and wholly satisfying West Coast oysters, which are served in a Chinese spoon with pickled fennel. Adding to the numerous tantaliz-ing main courses already available, new mouthwater-ing additions include the Gnocchi di Patate al Pesto e Pinoli Tostati Rombo alle Erbette (Fish of the day with

sage, thyme, parsley, rosemary, garlic butter. For those who believe that eating out is about experiencing something out of the ordinary, you are in for a treat. With the Trippa alla Toscana (tripe braised in a to-mato, carrot, celery, onion, chilli and Italian pork sau-sage with a hint of basil), and Animelle con icorciofi (veal sweetbreads sautéed with prosciutto, artichokes, baby peas and finished off with verjuce). As Clayton explains, ‘’I love offal, and a lot of restaurants don’t do it because they are not confident in their ability to make it properly. There’s no secret. Just keep eve-rything as simple as possible.’’Finish off with a platter of Italian cheeses, or, if you’d prefer something a little sweeter, the Rum Panna Cotta (rich cream custard, fla-voured with rum and served with rum soaked berries). Homemade vanilla ice cream served with an espresso is perfect for those who prefer to keep dessert a sim-ple affair. All of these exceptional dishes are enjoyed alongside a relaxed and festive ambience.
