  • Danielle Chase (Geminae Twin) has been doing community theatre for almost 20 years. She is excited to be doing such a hilarious show. You may have recently seen her in Legally Blonde, Gypsy, and Promises, Promises. She also has been the assistant director for several shows including last season’s Bonnie & Clyde. She would like to thank the cast and crew for just being the awesome people they are. Enjoy the show!

Ariel Clark (Domina) was most recently seen in Ovation’s all-female production of 1776. Her previous roles include ensemble in Godspell, Emma Parker in Bonnie and Clyde, and Enid Hoopes in Legally Blonde. She would like to thank her Ovation family and cast for all of the fun times.

Aidan Cline (Protean 3) has been performing in children’s’ theatre and com-munity theatre since he was 3 years old. He was last seen at The Ovation as ensemble in Jesus Christ Superstar and Gypsy. He also starred in Mame at Stars Theatre Restaurant and Willy Wonka in Willy Wonka Jr. with the Bakersfield Fine Arts Academy. When Aidan is not performing, you can find him on the field with his club soccer team. He would like to thank his parents and siblings for all of their support.

Erica Lynn Cunanan (Tintinabula) is no stranger to the stage. When not performing with Bakersfield Dance Company or acting onscreen, she’s thrilled to be apart of the Ba-kersfield theatre community. You may have seen her in shows such as Guys and Dolls, West Side Story, Mary Poppins, or 42nd Street at Stars Dinner Theatre as well as the Ovation Repertory Theatre’s Jesus Christ Superstar, Legally Blonde, and most recently, Bonnie and Clyde. She is so excited to now be a part of this incredible cast of A Funny Thing Happened On The Way to The Forum. She would like to thank Jennifer Resolme, Natalia Mallory, and her best friend, Nichole Heasley, for allowing her to be a part of this amazing show!!

BIOGRAPHIESDominic Demay (Hero) is grateful to be re-turning to the Ovation stage as Hero. He was last seen portraying Elvis Presley in Million Dollar Quartet and he remains ambitious for many more roles to come. When not at Ovation, Dom can be seen performing songs and live poetry with his band, Gadfly. Additionally, he would like to extend his thanks to director, Jennifer, for casting him in this hilarious show and the three theatre owners for allowing him the opportunity to stay involved beyond performance.

Mason Edwards (Marcus Lycus) is thankful for the cast and crew for all the hard work and dedication executed to put on such a fun show. Love you, Mom.

Adam Matthew Fernandez (Senex) is making his Ovation debut with A Funny Thing Hap-pened on the Way To The Forum. Fernandez was last seen as Jesus in BCT’s Godspell and Froggy in The Foreigner. Fernandez will be teaching 3rd grade at Castle Elementary this year. When not performing or teaching, Fer-nandez works on original content. He would like to thank his friends and family for their unwavering support.

Jordan Fulmer (Protean 1) is overjoyed to be in his third production at The Ovation theatre. Favorite credits include: The Genie in Aladdin, Corny Collins in Hairspray, Fizzlethorpe the Fairy in Jennifer Sampson’s The Ecstasy of Love, and his Ovation debut as Emmett Forrest in Legally Blonde. He can also be seen in The Bakersfield Museum of Art’s upcoming production of Hamlet as Rosencrantz/Gravedigger. He thanks his family, fellow cast members, luminous director Jennifer Resolme, prodigious chore-ographer Natalia Mallory, and the Ovation staff for their invaluable support.

  • Tim Fromm (Erronius) is thrilled to be in his first show at the famous Ovation Theater. He last preformed here when it was the Spotlight under the directing genius of the award win-ning Hal Friedman in Crazy for You. He has also appeared in several theaters in town like BCT, The Empty Space, and the BC Shake-speare Festival (Henry IV). He would like to thank the directing genius of Jennifer Resolme for allowing him to be in this hilarious come-dy/musical farce. He is thrilled to be a in cast with these talented actors. So please, sit back, drink, laugh and enjoy the show.

Sara Gervais (Gymnasia) might seem like a new face on stage, but you have definitely seen her around the Ovation theatre. Sara has been backstage doing various techie jobs, from quick changes to moving set pieces. She would like to thank her husband Kevin for encouraging her to perform and just being all around awesome. Sara also wants to send out love to her mother Sally, her hobbits, and her fellow techies.

Amanda Harmon (Panacea) is excited to be returning to theatre after recently graduat-ing from Cal State Monterey Bay where she earned her degree in Public Health.

Lacey Lindsley (Vibrata) is a veterinary tech-nician at Bakersfield Veterinary Hospital who has also been dancing for the past 18 years. This is her second production at The Ovation and she is very excited to once again perform on this stage. Lacey hopes you enjoy this production as much as she does.

Jason D. McClain (Pseudolus) A local favorite for over 28 years – Jason has become a regu-lar institution on stage (or at the very least, he should be in one). His favorite featured roles include: Cabaret (Emcee), Into The Woods (The Baker), Barnum (P.T. Barnum), Forever Plaid (Jinx), 42nd Street (Billy), Best Little Whorehouse In Texas (Melvin P. Thorpe), and Evita (Che). Jason is most notably known for starring as Joseph in Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (BMT 1994, 1996, 2004) and can be seen regularly as Mother Ginger in The Nutcracker with Civic Dance Center during the holiday’s. This is the third

time Jason has performed in Forum, the first time being in 1993 as Hero and then again in 2007 as Pseudolus (where he stepped in 8 hours before the show to take over the lead – not something he recommends for the faint of heart)! Most recently he has been delighting audiences at the Ovation with his dry humor and sultry tones as “Dean Martin” in his signature one-man cabaret A Rat Without A Pack and last Feb-ruary in the Love-Bites, a Valentines cabaret featuring Kama Ruby. “Only a fool directs himself on stage!” I think the same can be said for taking on the lead in this show and designing the set. Jason is a working artist and is the now the Technical Theatre & Scenic Design Teacher at Ridgeview High School. He would like to dedicate his per-formance tonight to his friend, mentor, and evil twin – Jawanda Carl Johannsen. “You originated this role for me - I’m just a pale reflection of all you did. Love Pseu.”

Princess Pellett (Philia) is a recent graduate of Stockdale High who started performing in community theatre productions in 2014. You may have seen her at Stars where she portrayed Susan Wilkes in Big River and ensemble in White Christmas and Pippin. This is her first leading role in a local the-atre production as well as her first show at Ovation. She has truly enjoyed being in this production and plans to be in many more productions at this beautiful theatre.

Derreck Reed (Miles Gloriosus) is no strang-er to the stage and has been acting since his conception into this wonderful universe. He is a proud member of the Bakersfield Com-munity, and is looking forward to his debut role as Miles Gloriosus, the self absorbed Roman General. You may remember Der-reck from some local performances at Stars Theatre here in Bakersfield. Derreck would like to thank the cast, crew, family, friends, and most importantly his genetics for allow-ing him to have the thighs to perform this very demanding role each and every night...wink wink enjoy the show.

    BIOGRAPHIES

  • Abigail Resolme (Geminae Twin) has been performing on stage since she was three and playing the piano since she was seven. You may have seen her in Gypsy and Jesus Christ Superstar at The Ovation or in West Side Story and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Stars. Abigail is a junior at BHS and her hobbies are singing, acting, dancing, eating, sleeping, and playing the piano. Tyler Vernon (Hysterium) - is a prolific actor, singer, dancer, poet, rapper, and choreographer who loves being involved in anything

that allows him to utilize his love and passion for creating and performing, He graduated

Ridgeview High where he was heavily involved in the theatre department and portrayed such roles as Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors, The White Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland, and a featured dancer and choreographer in their wildly popular annual dance revue. Tyler is proud to have been a part of the amazing MAD Dance Krew, under the direction of Natalia Mallory, and he feels fortunate to be able to pursue many dance and musical undertakings with the help of his talented and loyal friend, Mason Edwards. In addition to performing, Jennifer has made a name for herself as the dedicated Theatre teacher at Ridgeview High School for the past 13 years where she was honored to receive the prestigious Teacher of the Year award in both 2010 and 2014; growing the department to serve over 300 student performers and techni-cians each year, producing sell-out shows to excited audiences, and bringing home many awards from both local and out of town com-petitions. Some of Jennifer’s proudest directing experiences at Ridgeview have been Fiddler on

the Roof, A Flea in Her Ear, West Side Sto-ry, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Sweeney Todd, Catch Me If You Can and the famous annual dance re-vue that she co-founded in 2010 with her former student and dear friend, Natalia Mallory. Jennifer is married to the talented set designer and managing director of The Ovation, Bien Resolme, and together they have three beautiful daughters who just happen to love music, theatre, and the arts as much as they do. A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum is Jennifer’s Ovation Theatre directorial debut and she is ecstatic to share this hilarious production with the theatregoers of Kern County. Natalia Mallory (Choreographer) began her training in classical ballet with The Royal Academy of Dance technique under Patti Ashby and Pamela Sosa at the age of four. She has also trained in Mod-ern and West African dance under the direction of her mother, Dawn Mallory. At the age of 10 she began assisting her mother in teaching dance throughout Kern County with support from The Arts Council of Kern, which sparked a passion for teaching and creating inspirational work. From age 12 to 18 she trained at Civic Dance Center and continued her passion for dance and performing arts at the American Musical and Dramatics Academy in Hollywood. She was featured on the hit TV show So You Think You Can Dance along with her sister Sasha Mallory in 2011. Shortly after she created her competition company, Mad Krew, that is now in its ninth season. Natalia has choreographed over 15 musicals, has taught dance throughout the Kern High School District, and served three years as the dance coach for California State Uni-versity, Bakersfield. Miss Mallory is also pursuing a career as a recording artist and is utilizing all of her artistic backgrounds to inspire the massed.
